If this egg tumbler is adjusted such that the eggs move at all, then they are eventually all lifted and pulled into the metal screen at the top of the container. They compress there into a little “puck” of eggs. The cheaper, older style egg tumblers (the white ones) work way better for me.

I love this egg tumbler!!!!! It can hold easily up to 60 of my Red top Lwanda fertile eggs. It wasn’t over crowded, unlike some of the egg tumbler, that I’ve owned in the past. It was very easy to assemble and not too bulky looking in my 125 gallon tank. Just one little flaw, is the check air valve , it was just too strong of an air flow, so I decided to switch out the air valve, but overall, it is awesome

The egg tumbler is the best I've ever used. The sponge on top keeps everything out. It has an adjustment for air and easy to put in and take out of tank.
