The 4 pack of Clear Locator R-TX Caps is a high retention cap made for only the Locator R-TX System.
Which System Is This For?
This is for the Locator R-TX System ONLY.
The Clear Locator R-Tx Caps are high retention caps available for Locator R-Tx System. The required tool for replacement of locator caps is either the Locator R-Tx Tool (Part Number 30021-01), or the Universal Retention Caps Insertion/Extraction Tool (Part Number 488EIP-IQ). These caps are ONLY compatible with the Locator R-TX System. The Clear Locator R-Tx Caps are only available in packs of 4. The Following Graphic is a comparison of the Clear Locator R-Tx Caps with the alternative Caps for the Locator R-Tx System.

FAQ
I need Pink Caps or Clear Caps!
- Caps need to be ordered based on the system, not the color. There are many different systems utilizing the same colors for caps. The graphic above labeled "Which System is this for?" should be used to reference what system you need to order for. The Locator R-Tx Caps are only compatible with the Locator R-Tx System which has a Metallic Pink color abutment as opposed to most systems that utilize a Gold color for the anchor.
The Caps I got are too big. Are those sold here any smaller?
- All Locator R-Tx Caps are the same sizes. They vary in retention strength, not size. If caps do not fit, then wrong system caps have been purchased. It is the best to determine which system you have prior to purchasing any caps.
Is it better to get the strongest retention caps!
- No it is not. Correct retention caps are determined for each person individually based on a number of factors. Mainly comfort and length of time caps last before they no longer hold. The target time frame is 6 months, but no more than 1 year. Most patients do not need the strongest retention. They just need the follow proper technique to maintain and take care of the Caps they have.
How long should my new caps last and need replacement?
- Original genuine caps designed to function for about 6-12 months. Proper maintenance and regular cleaning is the key. If caps last you less than 6 months, then you may want to consider getting next level strength caps. Once you reach 6 months of comfortable use stay with that color.
- Make sure to use thumbs to press the fixture down into place in the first few days after replacement of caps and NOT jaw to snap in place.
Do I need a tool to remove and replace caps?
- Yes you need either the Locator R-Tx Insertion/Removal Tool (part number 30021-01) or the Universal Multi-System Insertion/Removal Tool (part number 488EIP-IQ)
- Without a tool you most likely will damage the Caps at the very beginning and they will not work.
Caps I bought do not fit. Can they be returned?
- The only way caps do not fit is when they are purchased for the wrong system. If manufacturer's seal is broken, package cannot be returned as it is considered a HAZMAT.
- Check which caps you need and for which system prior to purchasing. Our pre-sale support is available if needed.

These were supposed to last 3 to 6 months after about four days they’re starting to loosen up. Better material should be used so it lasts longer.

Product has very luttle to no retention.Old worn out ones held better. They also appear to be the orinal brand intead of the RXT I ordered. No refunds even if product is defective! Absolute waste of money!

I do not want to return. I have bought several vials of these and 2 vials were like they had been stamped out wrong. I was able to get them in my over denture, but the implants could not go into the clip, so I tried third vial and those worked. You see I had them in, can't return but also can't afford to order and them not work. I have even had this happen at the prosthodontics office.Thank you for your consideration.
