I have found that gadgets that do many things do not do anything very well. The compass is OK but not very accurate and difficult to read. The barometer works but is not very user-friendly. The most important thing about a barometer is the view of the history of the pressure going up or down - it is just not easy to tell on this gadget. Time/date/temp is a bonus. The backlighting works well for low-light situations. Easy to set up and calibrate. I would only use this as a back up for other devices.
