I was hesitant to use. Used them a few times with no results. I looked on the internet. It takes 3 to 4 weeks to see good results so I continued to use it. After 2 weeks I can see a difference. I will most likely buy again.

This seller’s miswak sticks are thinner and harder to use than another seller’s sticks which are wider. Ref photo. Going back to the other seller.

Not only does it smell like urine like other people have said, but 1/3 of the sticks I ordered is missing. The plastic bag they were supposed to be in was open and 1 of the remaining sticks was outside of it. Will be returning.

I think that this is a great addition to an oral hygiene routine. I use it at night or on weekends. My mouth feels cleaner than when I brush. For back teeth I think that chewing it and running it along the gum line is best because it’s hard to brush the back teeth with the stick. The taste and smell are different and might be a problem for some people. But the results beat out the taste and smell for me.

the miswack I’ve gotten in past inperson it’s bark like and more licorice sweet taste. This taste awfully sour until you sick all flavor out.I think it does work eventually to clean teeth and I liked that it came individually wrapped. I was willing to use it anyway but the taste was so bad my husband immediately ordered the other type.

I had pretty low expectations for this toothbrush, but I thought I'd give it a try. Who Knew???? My mouth is fresh after using this brush and stays that way all day. After brushing at night, I wake up with no morning mouth, my mouth is still fresh, no mossy teeth! I absolutely love this toothbrush. It's not harsh on my teeth or gums, and after seeing all those pointy bark bristles I really thought it would be unpleasant.... NOT SO! I massage my gums with this brush and it feels like a spa treatment for my mouth. Just an FYI, you really have to peel the outer bark off before using or the taste is really unpleasant. I've seen complaints about this in the reviews, but I'm pretty sure those folks didn't peel off the bark and that's what they're tasting.

I’m actually very fond of these miswak sticks. Very effective, soft enough that I can brush my gums with it despite having sensitive gums, and stiff enough to effectively remove all plaque. Very impressed. It kind of reminds me of a natural version of a micro-nano toothbrush, which I also have and love to use. I was a little skeptical when I saw some people say that they didn’t like the smell or taste, but, I’ve also been using herbal and natural things for many years, and I know sometimes people say that because the product is actually bad, but probably a majority of the time, people say things like that because they expect it to be the same as what they’re used to. This is a plant, not plastic, and it’s not going to taste or smell like unicorn sparkles or an artificial flavor. If you need to have flavor, have a natural mint or minty tea after cleaning with the miswak stick. If the batch was shipped in good condition, it won’t have any problems. When you open it, it will have a mild earthy smell that I’d describe as wet grass or wet tree and a very mild horseradish smell, but that smell dissipates very fast after opening the individually wrapped sticks, that’s just a natural smell that wrapped plants will get because they need a bit of air exposure after opening. After soaking the end of the stick, there’s no smell, and it has no flavor, it’s completely flavorless. Left my mouth feeling and tasting very fresh after brushing with it, without having to spit! I just drank cold water after brushing, and my mouth was fresh. Rinse the stick after using it, and dry it, and then it’s ready for you to wet the end again and reuse it. Really glad I got this, I’m surprised at how well it works.
