Free flowed after only 6x dives. Tried to correct by reducing the tension on the inflator button and the pin popped / broke immediately. Can’t get a replacement pin and repair shops won’t touch it. Waste of money in my opinion.

It was free flowing after 10 dives. Warranty only good for 1 yr. There are limited certified dealers for repairs and maintenance. I had another brand for at least 15 yrs that never gave me a problem. Complete regret for ever purchasing Zeagle.

Before I begin. This item is not for beginners. I bought this for my wife who is a PADI Master Diver with over 150 dives. I am a PADI, SDI, and PSS certified Divemaster with over 40 years and several thousand dives. I have an Atomic BS2 and an Atomic SS1. I only use it on my recreational dives.With that being said. When my wife bought her Zeagle Xena, she stated she wanted to transition to the Octo Z, I contacted my local PADI instructor and together we took her to the pool to help her transition.We did NOT remove her octo until she could easily move from her primary to her Octo Z without panicking.DO NOT BUY ONE AND NOT TRAIN WITH IT!After you're comfortable, you will never go back to an octo.On my recreational 2nd stage, I have a pod a two hoses. A minimalist set-up.

Just returned from a short dive trip of 12 dives in the warm summer waters of the Florida Keys. The Octo Z II worked perfectly. No free flows, breathed with it a couple times to test it, purged well, mouth fit was fine, airflow smooth, easily installed and inflated my Zeagle Ranger BCD perfectly. Air release was fine, manual inflated fine. Does it's job without a hassle. I'm glad I went this direction. Note; with the octo connected to the large corrugated hose, the hose becomes a little heavier then normal and hangs down a little while swimming. I ended up installing a magnetic hose holder on the inflator hose and anchoring it to a utility loop on my BCD. When I dump air for my decent, the inflator hose pulls off the magnetic anchor easy enough, then when I release the correlated hose, the magnet catches and the whole set up is trim.
