I have had many issues in the past with keys that have a flag that is to small to unlock all handcuffs. The only keys I have found work well with all keys are the standard S&W keys that come with your cuffs. This key has a removable key so i decided to give it a chance! The flag worked at first but wore down enough to stop working reliably in 2 weeks! I tried to install a S&W key but the base of those keys are wider than the keys provided with this set! I still gave it a 5 star becouse i grinded down the S&W keys to fit in the holder and all issues solved! With the disign was more of a universal fit but still happy I was able to fix the issues and i have dozens of the original S&W keys to use in the future

We all know regular handcuff key's are way to small, and fumbling around with a keychain is not ideal when handling someone in cuffs. The solution? Pen keys. Problem is most pen keys go to far, making the key absurdly long and hard to maneuver into the hole as the persons body gets in the way.This key strikes a balance, allowing the same storage capacity as other pen keys. but in half the size. It gives just enough to grab onto and maneuver with precision. Not to mention it is interchangeable, so in the event you break a key, you can just put a new one in.the ONLY problem I have with this product is I wish the key was seated horizontal from the pen clip. If you are putting this key in a shirt pocket, the key part should sit flat against the chest, but they way it is designed the corner of the key faces into your chest. This is such a minor problem though it's not worth taking a star away as this product is just that much better then its competition.

It was a hassle fumbling with my key ring when I had to take handcuffs off of prisoners but thanks to this extension it made my life a hell of a lot easier. Work smarter, not harder.

Zack tool cuff keys are the best. What I like about this one is the use of the small keys that come with a pair of handcuffs. What makes that important is some handcuffs, especially if they are painted, will not unlock with the long handled cuff keys. This allows for the small key to be used while also maintaining retention. I carry this as well as my Zack tool extra long key.

Overall I like this tool. Should last a long time and with the key replaceable you don't have to toss it in the trash when the end breaks off. One thing to consider, the diameter is larger than most standard cuff keys and this one will not fit in my uniform pocket beside a pen. It will fit by itself only. I clip it between my shirt buttons without issue but for others this may be of concern.

This Zak tool product works perfect when you need a handcuff key extension. The design allows the user to replace a broken or defective key if the need arises. The grip is knurled for ease of use in slippery conditions and the tool fits great in a uniform pocket. I will never buy a straight up extended handcuff key again after useing this one!
