You know what these are and you know what you want them to do. They do that.I was using them to screw into soft old wood by hand and they worked great to create points for hanging string lights. They’re very strong and sturdy, but like any twist hook, you might want to grab a drill and do a starter hole for harder materials.

I purchased these to use in my closets and pantry. To hang mesh bags. They work great. I even used them to hang hats/handbags on my closet wall. They are sturdy and so versatile. I like the coating on the hooks makes it easy to screw them in the wall. They are much smaller than they look in the picture.

I’ve only used these in drywall. These have worked best for me in uses when I hang something and never touch it again. It’s held the crochet hammock I made for all my yarn and it hasn’t fallen in the 6-ish months I’ve had it.I also used it to hang a kitchen hand towel. It’s basically falling out of the wall after the 5 month mark.I used it to hang my few bracelets and sleep mask by my bed. Very lightweight. It’s also become a little loose. Functional but it works still.So I’d recommend it for something lightweight, probably 5 lbs max, that you rarely, if ever, take off of the hook.
