This is a 7 tooth pinion and 32 tooth ring gear for a ratio of 4.57:1. I don't know if that affects anything, but my set wore quickly and was very noisy at speeds over 45 mph. Pattern was normal and setup was good....wear pattern is right in the middle. A Ford 9" is the easiest ring and pinion to set up.I replaced the gears with a Motive gear set and the noise is gone. Motive is a 9 tooth pinion and 41 tooth ring gear, that is the only difference I see between the sets.
