Choose this CBB61 fan capacitor and replace the old one in following cases:
- If the fan does not start or is difficult to start.
- If the fan speed decreases.
- If the fan speed can not be changed.
This capacitor controls the starting of the fan, as well as the speed regulation. It is widely used in most fans with AC motors.
Please record the wire connection before change the capacitor in your fan.

This capacitor restored full functionality to my ceiling fan. Installation was fast and easy. This is a great option instead of replacing the whole ceiling fan.

Used this to replace a 4 + 5+ 5 capacitance device in a ceiling fan. Working perfectly so far. The fan now has three speeds again! The color coding on the wires was standard and matched the original. Because the original capacitor was hard wired to the speed switch, the wires needed cut and connected to the new device. It is a similar size as the original, so it fit well.

Recently bought a house with older, but very nice ceiling fans in EVERY ROOM lol. In our bedroom, the fan started only working on high speed. That was fine during the summer, but now as it's cooling off, we just don't want that much air. My wife was ready to just get a whole new fan. But, I said let me do a little research and see if I can fix it. Turns out that capacitors are generally the most common cause of a malfunctioning fan. Couple of youtube videos and THIS CAPACITOR replacement later, our fan is working on all 3 speeds again, and I did NOT have to replace and entire fan. In this older house, I have a feeling I'll be needing more capacitors later, and I know exactly which one I'll be getting!! Very thankful for this and it saved me a lot of time and effort.

Got this to replace in fan but it was not the issue . Saved because we have another fan just like it.
