This sensor has many uses - from detecting when the washing machine is done to seeing when the sump pump is running to detecting when a window is opened or broken and many many others. I actually use it in my car to see if the car has been turned on - it's that sensitive (adjustable though).Like all Yolink products, the range is incredible (several blocks away) and the quality is excellent. It uses a standard AAA battery and lasts for months which is a bonus. Many electronics these days use built in lithium batteries that eventually fail, essentially making the device a consumable. I appreciate that Yolink uses standard batteries. You can use a rechargeable NIMH if you'd like.Would absolutely recommend for any of the above uses.

I am NOT A FAN of Chinese products for the most part. Cheap, kinda work, and so on. But I have to say that YoLink is absolutely superb. I held my breath when ordering the first components, expecting them to be...Chinese quality. The product exceeded my expectations. The app is superb (at least on Android; I can't comment about iOS). The products come in tiny, beautifully packaged boxes and each one sets up in seconds, intuitively. They then simply continue to work. Dang they're good. The only other Chinese manufacturer in this same league, in my experience, is the maker of Fenix flashlights. Keep up the great work! The best that I've found. I wish this was a paid review, but I paid out of pocket for these products.

Perfect for My Clothes Dryer is Done Notification Sensor! I have attached 3 pics, 2 of pics are my settings, that I have to get notified when the Dryer is Done. I set the sensitivity to 7, Otherwise it picks up vibration every time my furnace kicks on. Happy it was On sale for $22! I already have the YoLink hub & YoLink Sensors for our outdoor buildings , so this was very easy to add this to my current YoLink System. I did have to tinker around with the settings, that is why I attached pictures of my settings for anybody else that wants to use it for a dryer is done notification.

I have been using this product for about 8 months now. It came recommended to me and it was a great recommendation. I now have the vibration sensor as well as the yolink water sensors. These products really help with the safety of your house especially while on vacations. Alerts come thru seamlessly. Wish they had cameras that linked to the sensors that would take it up a step further but for now these work tremendously

So - here’s the deal. Yes. This device will alert you to either vibration or the lack of vibration. Which makes it sound like you could use it to alert when the dryer stops. But there are several very important steps that are being left out here. IFTTT/Alexa/Home Assistant can all be utilized (sort of) but it’s a process of this begets this which begets this, which begets this other thing that might finally bring you to the actual alert. So… there’s that. That said, as this thing sat on my counter waiting for me to have enough brain power to decide which “this” and which “that” to use, it consistently alerted me to movement in my kitchen - which opens up a few other uses for this device. So… don’t buy this for washer/dryer alerts, but definitely buy it as a makeshift occupancy sensor or for your window panes or so you can be alerted in the case of an earthquake…..

I found this vibration sensor to be useful for being able to find out if my dryer (which is in the garage) is done drying. I don't have it setting any alarms as it wasn't very reliable when used in that way. I just check the Yolink phone app to see if the vibration sensor is brown or green. If it's brown, it's still drying, green indicates that it's done.

I have experience with multiple IOT platforms, including YoLink, Aqara, Lutron, VOCOLink, etc… and countless sensors for each, but until now I never had or tested a vibration sensor. My use case is around the need to monitor a pool pump and ensure it comes on-line each day. As the pump is variable speed and internally computer controlled it has to be connected to power all the time so a high-power contactor is not going to work. I thought about installing a CT probe in the power panel to monitor power usage and while that would have worked there are issues with WiFi reaching inside the metal box as well as the lack of software logic to alert proactively when there is no power usage.Anyway, I tried to simplify solving the problem by just installing a vibration sensor on the pool pump, to be able to tell and be notified when the pump comes and goes off. To hedge my bets I ordered both a YoLInk and Aqara Vibration Sensors and attached both to the pump in the same location for testing. The YoLink sensor is about 3 times larger than the Aqara one but has the advantage of using 2 x AAA batteries that are easily replaceable and since they provide more power the YoLink sensor will last longer. The YoLink sensor also has a much more customized device configuration in the YoLink app with great options that allow me to setup an alert if the pump (vibration) does not occur in the AM when the pump starts! Lastly, the YoLink sensor proved to provide 10 levels of vibration sensitivity straight in their App, whereas the Aqara sensor only provides 3 levels and for changing each one you have to also press the button on the sensor. Not very practical on Aqara! Lastly, the YoLink sensor uses LoRa long range technology and has a much better connection all the way to my pool pump.I must say I am thrilled with the performance and features of the YoLink Vibration Sensor and it has solved a very frustrating problem for me which is why I wanted to recommend it.

What a great idea, we bought temperature sensors from yolink and seen these in their store, attached to mouse traps, oh wow !! We do use live mouse traps but sadly we haven't noticed the all in time until is was too late, which is absolutely heart breaking.. Now by adding these vibration sensors we will get the alert right away.. I cannot empress my absolute love for these enough, thank you so very much... I even had to turn down the sensitivity because it picked loud noises as well.. we will add more of these to our business doors for additional security

I am using this as a vibration sensor on my sump pump discharge pipe, to monitor that the sump pump is working. This integrates very well with Home Assistant. I have built automation that tells me how many times my sump pump has cycled, the time between cycles and a battery percentage indicator. My built automation will alarm me after a set period if the sump pump does not run. I determined statistically how often the sump pump should run based on history and set the alarm to slightly more. I also purchased the YoLink water sensor to act as a complete solution to ensure that I can take action should the sump pump not be running or water is detected to prevent water damage in my basement. Since my sump pump is within a walled off section in my basement these YoLink long range sensors work very well in comparison to other standard vibrations sensor where the signal gets very weak and may not work.

First I want to begin saying this product works great at sensing vibration. At max vibration detection (10) it can sense a slight finger tap on the leg of a table the detector is sitting on. And as other mentioned it works well with Alexa. My disappointment was I was going to use IFTTT so I can use it with other apps like Ring or other well known apps supported by IFTTT. Unfortunately, when logging into IFTTT, no app supports the Vibration sensor form Yolink. IFTTT supports other things from YoLink like motion, leak, temperature, and smoke sensors only.Another slight disappointment is disabling the motion device seems to do nothing in alerts I get through Alexa. I am currently trying to figure out how to disable both YoLink App and Alexa's alerts with one button.I am sure with a small updated from YoLink this vibration sensor will be everything I was looking for as it already meets 90% of my needs compared to others.
