My usage is a little weird - I bought a GoPro that's modded to accept screw-on C-Mount lenses from security cameras, meaning that instead of shooting the regular GoPro fisheye footage, it actually shoots really nice "regular" footage with depth of field. It looks kind of incredible, all things considered. And the added benefit is, I can get tons and tons of these types of lenses dirt cheap on Ebay from companies that buy like, a "lot" or an auction or whatever that includes a bunch of old security cameras. Dirt cheap, like, $20 for a lens, quality matching a DSLR, and the form factor is TINY. It's awesome.BUT, the problem I have with doing this is that like 90% of the lenses I order don't have lens caps. That should be expected, most companies that bought lenses like these for their security cameras probably bought the lens, put it on the camera, and threw away the caps with the packaging. But it means all the lenses I've bought don't have anything to protect them. Further, every other lens cap I've found was really cheap plastic and that sucks. I want a good lens cap to protect my neat little new hobby. So I stumbled across these and figured it was worth a try, and MAN am I glad I ordered them. They fit much better than the crappy plastic ones and frankly they're much easier to put on and take off thanks to their little bit of texture on the backside.It's nuts, these are a legit game changer, they solved such an obscure problem I never expected to have. I feel like most problems have pretty obvious solutions, at least problems that a lot of people have. My problem is caused by a super niche product used in a weird way, so these (to me) are a godsend because I can't just get these anywhere, I was shocked that I could find them at all. If you need super specific C-Mount lens caps, get these, end of story.
