  • 55 gallon: Our oil drum heater is suitable for most 55 gallon (200 L) drums
  • Thermostat: Heating temperature can be adjustable between 30-150 ℃ / 86-302 ℉ (the temperature setting dial is in Celsius). For plastic drums, the heating temperature should be lower than 80 °C (176°F)
  • Advantages: Our barrel band heater has larger power and heating area, heating is fast; connected by elastic springs, installation is a breeze
  • NOTE: Make sure the barrel heater is tightly attached to the drum before heating, and the heating set should not exceed the value on the dial of the thermostat
  • Wide Application: Can be used to heat the oil, honey, binder, grease, paint, paraffin and pigment in the barrel, suitable for all seasons

I placed the heater at the bottom of the 55 gallon drum and wrapped the top portion in thin/effective insulation. Maintained 80 degree F temp when ambient temp was in the single digits. For longer use, I cannot speak on that. I had to ferment 45 gallons of mash/bier/beer and this helped out considerably
