The directions said to soak in aromatherapy or olive oil when using soy wax and I can’t get it to burn for more than 3-5 seconds. I did not double them in the base yet or tried olive oil so we’ll see.

I had to order this as I have never seen wood candle wicks before.I have not started my candle making yet but I am excited to learn how these wood candle wicks work and how well the work.It will take time to learn as I am new to candle making in general let alone with these wood wicks.I really love the strong case these came in. I will cherish this case and when I replenish the wood wicks I will have some place to put them.Though I have not used these yet. I still can recommend them for the good quality of the wood wicks and the stainless steel wick holders.

Love the kit. Comes organized in a nice case but the wicks burn very black and smokey. Wooden wicks tend to burn stronger but these seemed especially smokey. Can't burn inside as they set off the smoke detector.

I love the wicks that came with this kit. They burn a little high but they crackle and a lot of ambiance to my candles. It is one of the favorite features of my product.
