I received this ladder today and put it to use. I am about 230 pounds and was up about 7' on the ladder. I didn't notice any undue flexing in it and felt safe at all times. Try and wear thick soled shoes when using it. The rungs are only about 1 1/2" wide and can be hard on your feet. Follow the instructions on collapsing the ladder carefully. When you press the black unlock tabs in the rungs really slam down! Overall I am pleased with it. Considering how easy it is to move around and how little space it takes up when collapsed.

Nice product and I don’t another one to compare but fully extended it does have some unsettling flex. I weigh 185 lbs and used it full height against a wall.

I like the portability of this ladder, it's a little on the heavy side when compacted but only because it's a lot of ladder in a little bitty space. The fact that it has no problem holding up my 265lb frame even at the very top rung makes it a win-win for me, worth every penny for sure. I've used it partly extended, halfway extended and fully extended works like a champ everytime. The simple "hydraulics" keeps the rungs from smashing your fingers as it's collapsed, so that's a plus. It has a little wiggle when fully extended but not enough to worry about or really notice, I've learned i can trust the stability of it. Now, I'm just a week-ender handyman, so i cannot verify the ability of this ladder to handle consistent everyday use. The times i have used it have been productive, safe, and has left me satisfied with my purchase.

This ladder is really easy to deploy and collapse for storage. What an amazing product. It is very light and sturdy for regular tasks, but I was kind of nervous to use it to transition onto my roof, luckily it was able to ease it into a spot where I didn't need to transition off of it. I didn't have anyone to hold the ladder for me, so it may not have been a big deal to do so with another person to hold me steady, but as I crept to the top of the ladder it felt a bit wobbly. I wouldn't buy this as my main ladder if I were a roofer, but as a ladder to keep around the house to clean gutters and put up decorations, etc. I can't think of a better tool to use.Be careful when collapsing the ladder, you want to make sure your fingers are clear of the place that will make contact when it slams shut. Over all, I am really glad I bought this.

Such a great ladder. Fits perfectly in our travel trailer, and in our garage. Easy to set up and to take down!

I ordered this ladder as I have a 40 foot RV and wanted to save space by not carrying a full size ladder. However, I want the ladder to be sturdy, compact and easy to set up and take down. Many reviews talked about pinching hand, fingers, needing two people to take it down. This is completely untrue, extending the ladder is a piece of cake. Start with the top step and extend it until it locks in place, then raise the next step until and so on until to have the height you want. Taking it down is just as easy....start with the bottom step by holding with one hand the third step while yo use the other hand to unlock the two sliding catches (one on each side) the slowly lower the step until the second step rests on the first step....repeat...just remember to hold the step above the one you are lowering while you release the catches. Fairly light and easy to store in your RV cargo area. I highly recumbent this ladder for every RV owner.

This ladder fits perfectly in the outside storage of my travel trailer. We have no ladder on our trailer to get to the top of the trailer so this is perfect. The weight is significant but needs to be in order to provide stability.1) Functionality: (5 stars) - easy to understand how to operate right out of the box2) Aesthetics: (5 stars) - professional grade looks3) Cost: (4 stars) - It was a little expensive4) Weight: (3 stars) - this is a heavy ladder (probably for stability) so one needs to be careful in lifting this - looks are deceiving.

This ladder lives up to its advertising. It is 1/2 the weight of equivalent non-telescoping ladders and very easy for both my wife and I to carry. I have been using it now for about a month and am very pleased with its operation. I have three crawl spaces in my house which are accessible through "trap" doors in the ceilings (which are 10 feet high). This ladder's length is perfect for those. There have been a number of comments/warnings about the operation of this which I'd like to address. First the issue of pinching your fingers when collapsing it. Contrary to the directions which come with the ladder, collapse it from the top down. First place the base against a vertical wall to stop it from sliding during the collapsing process. Then lift the top waist high, with the top rung supported by your mid section (you're leaning over the top of the ladder).. You are now facing "down" the length of the extended ladder. Lean over the ladder, and release the top rung latches using your right and left hands while applying slight pressure with your body. This will collapse the top rung 3/4 of the way and it will stop. Continue this process rung by rung. As each successive rung is released the preceding rung will collapse the last inch as well. In this way, the issue of finger pinching is vastly mitigated. Second the issue of the latches potentially not engaging (I have not had this problem). When the ladder is totally collapsed all latches are disengaged and offset buy about 1/8 inch towards the outside legs of the ladder. Take a red marking pen and run it along the inside side of each latch so that an 1/8 inch red line is drawn along the ladder. As the ladder is telescoped the latches engage and move toward the inside of the ladder thus covering the drawn red lines. When telescoped and fully latched no red line should be visible thus confirming the ladder is safe to ascend.
