I got these to cut the glare from the fluorescent lights in our basement. They definitely helped remove the glare and the brightness from the lights while also leaving enough light in the room and providing a slight blue hue. They were very easy to apply once I figured out how they should work. The instructions were not helpful at all (see photo). Not only could I not tell what was going on in the photos, the words were obviously translated from some other language and don’t really make sense in English. So I will tell you how these work in hopes it will save someone else some time:1. These go on the OUTSIDE of the light fixtures, not the inside. I had assumed they went underneath the fixture cover so they’d be visible but also neatly tucked in.2. There are magnets sewn in the corners and two on the long sides and one in the middle of each short side. These magnets adhere to the metal frame of your light fixture and/or the metal grid of your ceiling tile system.3. The magnets can be easily flipped inside the hem. If one or more magnets is facing the wrong direction and don’t connect to the light frame, simply flip them over inside them hem and try again.4. The product comes with a LOT of circular sticky magnets (see my photo). If your light fixture/ceiling doesn’t have anything metal to attach the light cover to, then you’ll use these stickers. To do so, your peel off the paper on the sticky side, attach it to the ceiling, and then use the magnets in the light cover to connect to the sticky magnets you just placed. Now for the outcome: they look a little sloppy because it’s hard to get the covers to pull completely flat. On each one of the 4, there are gaps here and there that I just can’t seem to resolve. Additionally, they arrived very wrinkled. I tried putting them in the dryer on a steam setting hoping they would straighten out, but they will require an iron or steamer to get them unwrinkled. It would have been nicer if these came rolled instead of folded. For these reason, I took off a star.In all, these are a decent value if you are looking for a simple option to reduce the harshness or glare of your fluorescent lights.

The Fluorescent Light Covers look great once installed and help soften harsh lighting in classrooms, offices, or homes. However, they come folded and wrinkled, so you should definitely iron them first for a smooth look. The magnetic attachment is convenient, making installation easy. Overall, a nice touch to any space if you take the time to prep them!

So I love the idea of these panels, what a great way to diffuse some of that harsh fluorescent or LED lighting, but I do have so reservations. Firstly I haven't worked how to get the creases out of them. If you look at the review photos posted by others you'll see the majority have tight creases from where the fabric was packed. I can't get mine out either. Secondly the coloring and cloud layout on this pattern is uneven and a little distracting. I wish they had more evenly graded the color to the edges and the cloud design made to look more realistic from below. It looks a little like I'm looking to the horizon that straight up. Am I over-reacting... I'm not sure, but I think I'll keep looking something better. I was skeptical about the magnets but they work well, overall a 3 1/2 stars would be fairer.

When we bought our house it came with one light in our living room and it's a fricken overhead florescent light! Talk about slum lords.. they also painted a can into the corner of the cabinet instead of moving it but that's a story for a different website. I got this cover to finally hide that hideous thing and omg, it's amazing. It was easy to install. I thought it was going to be a hard piece of plastic but it's not. It came folded and was super easy to put up! I'm so happy with it and I'm so glad I found this thing! I would never have thought of something like this before.

These dimmed the fluorescent lights in the classroom. The children all noticed a change. The set came with magnetic discs to test how magnetic the area was before hanging. I didn’t think they were necessary. When hanging each light cover two covers did have a flipped magnet. So once I flipped it inside the cloth with my hands it worked and it was easy to do. They probably flipped while shipping. They seem like good quality and you can tell they are clouds. I like that it is less bright now.

Whenever I get a new pattern of these other coworkers immediately want one. My 4 pack is in use throughout our office.Magnetic strength is strong. If it doesn't stick flip the magnet inside the material over.Material is strong and fade resistant.Material is thin enough to still let enough light through.I get many compliments on my light decoration.

I love this for my classroom lights. The magnets stuck to the frame of the light so I didn't even have to put the magnetic stickers up, but they are there if you need them. They have stayed secured so far this year and are nice to look at. Color is great and I think they are worth the money.
