If you do alot of evacuations then this is the best and fastest way to achive your 500 micron level. It is on the expensive side but worth it in the long haul. On the tree near the top of the gage has a fitting for your micron gage as well. It will cur your vaccum pull times in half.

Nice how the hose is 3/8" on 1 end and 1/4" on the other so you don't need an adapter.

Wow! This is an awesome evacuation kit! It is a little on the pricey side but, is worth it if you are in the business! It will speed up your evac time and allow for a deeper vacuum to be achieved. It has a port on the back (in between the ball valves) which is an OK place to put a micron gauge. However, a better place is on the side port of the core removal tool as it is closest to the system. All the components in this kit are high quality like you expect from Yellow Jacket. It came with brass o-ring flare caps for the 3/8" ports on the T, the 1/4" port on the back, and a plug for the 3/8" female swivel on the bottom. I bought two 1/4" flare plugs and two 3/8" flare plugs for the hoses. The hoses are 3 ft. long and very well made. For some reason, they have core depressors in the 1/4" end of the hose. These should be removed for maximum flow. If your removing the schrader valve; why do you need the depressor? The compound gauge on the top is cool-looking but completely unnecessary. If you're going to keep it on there you might as well get the 2 1/2" gauge boot to protect it! The manifold itself has some nice, brassy weight to it. The valves are nice and smooth, too. This is a great buy for any serious HVAC/R tech!

A few years back when I bought this vacuum tree, I believe it was the only one like it at the time, but there are now several other manufacturers that offer their own designs. This YJ 93866 vacuum manifold setup includes their 1/2" two ball valve manifold with a compound gauge mounted on top along with two of their 18975 vacuum/charge core removal tools and two 16248 black 3/8" Plus II 4-foot vacuum rated charging hoses. One end of each hose has a 3/8" fitting and the other end has 1/4" fitting. There is a 1/4" flare fitting on the back of the manifold tree that YJ says can be used to connect a micron gauge, but IMO, it really doesn't belong at that location in the system. This manifold setup has a 2-1/2" compound gauge mounted on top which I suppose can be helpful for verifying that the system is being pulled into a vacuum initially, although I'm not sure I really see a need for it. There is no protective rubber gauge boot or threaded caps included to cover the ports of the manifold or hose ends and help keep debris out when not in use, which seems a little cheap on YJ's part, considering the price for this setup. I do think this manifold kit is pretty pricey for what it is, but can really help speed up the evacuation process, so I feel it was worth the cost.
