It's a Verizon branded V78HV, not the V78H the posting claims. The seller was "A4C Online" in case they post this review for a different listing. It has different firmware so the home screen is more cluttered and the menus are different. The firmware on the V78VV is V16.85.21.3, on a real V78H it is 16.85.0.20. There seems to be no obvious way to get the V78HV to the standard firmware. So far it seems to be working fine, but some of the menu choices are clearly redesigned to work with a single phone number on a Verizon line. I've successfully connected it to my V78P base and it seems like it will be fine and it was about $40 less than a real one, but had I known up front, I probably would have made a different choice. I'm sure this will have no warranty other than hopefully it works when you open the box. The hardware seems Identical except for the Verizon logo and status claims the hardware is the same revision. Anyway, it seems like it will work, but you've been warned.
