Overall I'm pretty underwhelmed with this little display. I ordered this to help me on longer drives so I could quickly see my speed without needing to glance at my speedometer but the display isn't accurate. Once you go faster than ~35mph it reports that you're going about 5mph faster than what you're actually driving. So for example if you're driving 55mph the display will show 60mph instead. Its also annoying that the reflective sheet is pretty much mandatory unless you're driving at night, you won't be able to read the display during the day.

I really wanted to like this - my car doesn't have a HUD and I wanted some info and an easy way to see my speed without looking down. This comes with no instructions and a screen protector that doesn't fit the unit... it isn't very accurate past 30mph, and it also makes a high pitched whine noise while plugged in to my car's USB port.

The Yaouzicin Heads up Display came with very little in the way of instructions on how to install or use it. It basically just tells you to plug the cable into the unit and then plug the USB into the USB port in your car. Not a single word about where it should be placed on your dash or if it needs to be laid flat or standing up. Plus it came with what looks like a phone screen protector (one of those thick sheets of clear plastic with the stickers you have to peel off of the front and back before affixing it to your phone screen). There was no explanation for what I was supposed to do with that. It doesn't fit the unit and I couldn't figure out why the screen on it would need it anyway, so I left it behind in the house and went for a ride. I hooked the unit up and went for a ride through my neighborhood. The directions mentioned that it might take a minute or two to connect to satellite but it connected for me immediately. Looking at the display, the numbers were reversed because it needs to be set on the dash so that the numbers reflect on the windshield - in that way, they'll appear normally. But I had no clue how it's supposed to be affixed to the dash. I have a brand new leased vehicle and I'm very reluctant to put any type of sticker or adhesive on the dash to hold this thing in place. My husband (who was with me) wondered if maybe the "screen protector" is supposed to be stuck on the windshield so that the HUD can reflect onto it. He may be onto something because in the pictures it DOES look like there's a darker spot on the window where the HUD is reflecting. Since I had no way of mounting it when I took it for the test ride, my husband held it and kept an eye on both our speedometer & the HUD while I drove. Interestingly, the speeds matched consistently while I drove through our residential neighborhood where the speed limit is 35 and under. However, when I got out on a main north/south route through town where the speed limit is 55, the HUD was off by 3 mph. While my car said I was doing 51, the HUD said I was only doing 48. It seemed that the faster I drove, the less accurate it was. This could obviously be a problem that could cause a driver to get pulled over for speeding when they honestly didn't realize they were. The reason I ordered this HUD in the first place is because I had a HUD system built into my prior car (a Mazda CX-5; I now have a Hyundai Tucson). I absolutely loved it and really miss it a lot so I thought I would get this in place of the built-in system. There's literally no comparison between a built-in HUD and this one. The built-in HUD showed me on my windshield what the area speed limit was, my current driving speed, turn-by-turn navigation when using the built in GPS, stop signs, names of cross streets I was passing, etc. This HUD shows your driving speed - that's it. Long story short, I have to say that in my opinion this HUD is not worth purchasing. It's not accurate, requires modifications to the car I'm not crazy about making (sticker on the dash, screen protector on the window), and it just doesn't seem all that worth it since it only does one thing and it doesn't even do that one thing all that well! Not to mention there's a serious lack of info included with the HUD clearly explaining how to install it. In my opinion, if you're looking for an aftermarket HUD, this isn't the one you want.
