The Yamaha mouth piece is a nicer metal and has lasted longer. (Purchased in 2021 for my son who is in middle school band.) We bought an east rock and it wore out within the year, and he was playing on raw brass, which is terrible for you ( and caused infections in the lips). He is now in high school, he plays a concert tuba and sousaphone with the marching band. Go with the Yamaha!
