Performed as expected. Removed the fender bolt at the front end and reinstalled with the loop. Make sure there is a washer. Pop up the tie down between hood and fender to use. Fold under hood when not needed. First trip about 500 miles with Kayaks on top, no issues. Note that these are not intended to do the heavy load work, that is for the cross bars and J racks. These simply help steady the kayaks and keep the pointed the same direction as the vehicle.

Easy to install under the hood. Working great, will be interesting to see longevity of this product. But currently working wonderfully.

Works great. 5 min install on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Easily flips back into engine bay when not in use. These are stronger than the hood loops that just sit in your engine bay. I use those for the rear hatch but the yak gear hood loops are the way to go if you are going to haul kayaks on the interstate and need a secure point to attach to.

Works fine, my only gripe is that the brass rings bent easily while installing.

The straps are kind of light, but Ok. The metal rings are kind of weak and light weight, they easily crushed when tightening the small fender bolt (2010 Subaru) onto them during installation. The deformation was not the best for a secure mount. OK but could do better.
