YAKATTACK VISIPOLE II GEARTRAC READY LIGHT WITH FLAG

Light on 3/8" Fiberglass mast with a floating base. Manufactured from domestically manufactured 3/8" fiberglass tube. Permanently attached to the light and the base. With a height of 4'-6" tall, you will truly be visible from 360 degrees. In situations where a 360 degree white light is not necessary or required, the flag can be slid over the light, creating a soft glow that is less likely to attract bugs or spook fish, while maintaining some level of visibility to others around you. This technique is not recommended for environments in which powered craft may be present.

FEATURES:
- Light on 3/8" Fiberglass mast
- 3 AA batteries
- LEDs burn 100 hours on 3 AA batteries (included)
- 10,000+ hours lamp life
- 3/8" fiberglass tube
- Waterproof to a depth of 1000 feet
- Orange flag
- Compatible with MightyMount and GearTrac

After decades of kayaking the rivers and bays of the South, I have discovered that the area is a meca for late night boaters. Many of these folks are having a great time out on the water with their boats and friends. There's one big problem, many of them are visiting with their friends and not paying much attention to the side of the river they are on and certainly not looking for you. A good quality 360* light is all that is required on the wateer at night, this is a good one, use it!

So far it's worked pretty well. I have been on the lake before sunrise 4 times with this light and it does it's job. The only issue I've had is that I twisted it too far once(I didn't know it was possible, I just wanted to ensure it was sealed from water) and heard a "crackle" sound and now it have to play a game where I twist a tiny bit until the light turns on and flickers, then twist it a tiny bit more until it stays on, then shake it to make sure it's not going to flicker, but also if I twist a tiny bit too much it will go off and then I need to start over. But it works.

Doesn’t come with hardware or mount bracket. Other than that I just put it on one of my rail tracks with a t bolt or slot bolt. Easy to use.

I got caught in heavy fog on my kayak and decided to order a lighted flag for extra safety in case it ever happens again. This is a very convenient flag. The pole can mount to a gear trac or the foam base is perfect for a rod holder. I decided to go with gear track mounting. The light comes on by twisting like a mag lite. Very handy.

Product arrived broken (plastic where flag pole attaches to base was cracked in half). Requesting replacement from Amazon. Be sure to check for broken parts when your shipment arrives. ***UPDATE: Replacement from Amazon arrived in good shape. Very nice product, and the light is brighter than I expected, based on some of the reviews.***

After two months of use the lights plastic ceased up and will not allow the safety light to function. The top part of the flag plastic broke from 15mph winds. I had to tie it back together with monofilament while a few miles out at sea. For a simple flag, this is very expensive to have such serious design flaws. Waste of money
