Steps for Disassembling pipe Assembly
Step 1
Loosen the set screw on the cam and clevis assembly, so as to separate the rod and the handle linkage assembly.
Step 2
Rotate the the head counter-clockwise from the pipe while holding on to the other wrench.
Step 3
Pull the operating pipe assembly out of the riser pipe.
Steps for Replacement
Step 1
Replace the plunger and tighten clockwise using the wrench.
Step 2
Replace the rod stem and tighten clockwise using pliers.
Step 3
Place washer, packing, packing nut into the head assembly in sequence and tighten clockwise.

This is listed to fit a Y34 Hydrant - which I have. The plunger is the wrong size. Took the whole thing apart and tried to gently thread on the new plunger, but there is a complete mismatch. Waste of time and money.

Found out too late to return item. None of the parts fit as they should. The parts were not machined correctly. The washer was too big and the main baffle part that I needed would not thread on because it was not machined properly. I had to have my water shut off by the city and then I spent another four hours trying to get this kit to work only to have to put the old parts back in and wait for the city to turn on my water again with no fix. Why are companies allowed to continue to sell items like this without being quality checked. Thanks for screwing up my day!
