This works good for a few months but you start getting bad mold inside the thermometer and will most likely throw it away after a few months. I suppose you could submerge it in bleach but there is no way to take apart and clean inside...

Nice little temp gage. Color will fade a little over time. Will become more orange. Still looks good and works well. It is not a toy. Try to keep the kids from throwing it in the pool.

Sufficient for what its used for... but the cord they use to tie it to the rail in the pool is not weatherproof, it rotted out pretty quickly. Would have been better if they had used some sort of string that was weatherproof, like made from fishing line or something similar. I managed to wedge it so it doesn't float to the skimmer.

I wanted my own pool thermometer to compare to the pool thermometer my gym uses. I could tell the water was too cold, but the gym’s thermometer always read a steady temp within the stated pool range, always-with no variations. I felt it was broken but without a comparison I couldn’t prove it. This little thermometer is large enough to be easily read by me and other gym members. I started taking pix of the temp with other members so the gym owners would see I hadn’t doctored the images. It worked, the gym replaced their thermometer and then replaced the pool heater and we’re now all swimming in comfortable water again.Plus, it’s just cute.

Well, everyone who sees it smiles, they are very cute floating in the spa. Pretty accurate too, I have verified with digital meters and higher-end restaurant instant thermometers. I will say they are a little difficult to read. Especially if you don't hold it directly in front of your eyes, meaning hard to read from the sides. And of course a little difficult at night. Overall happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

I bought this for my mother in law's pool. Her eyesight isn't as good as it used to be so it was difficult for her to keep up with her old thermometer. This is a much better option because it has an eye catching crab on top. It's bright red color real stands out so it is immediately noticeable. The thermometer itself is clear and easy to read.

Cute but does not work. Temperature never changes it’s always 28degrees Celsius
