This product is not meant for an amateur. The instructions are not clear. The pictures aren't clear. It does not label the parts. In other words don't buy if you want a 123 fix. I still haven't gotten it together. I have to add on. It's been less than a mth since I started using this item and it has fallen apart. The hose is in a place that's unreachable. I hate this item.

I’d be a little irked if I paid full price for this. Fortunately I used a rewards card to pay half the cost. So let’s see, out the box, no instructions and missing pieces. Putting this together wasn’t too hard even without instructions. There is a spring and black plug piece I still have no idea where it goes. I went to install the last thing, the shower head, and realized I was missing some kind of middle piece or pieces that connects the shower head to overhead part. Luckily the fitting on the overhead works with any regular shower head and I happened to have one lying around under a bathroom sink. I secured this to a 2’x2’ concrete tile and it seems to work. Connected the hose and turned the spigot on. Waited for it fill up, which takes longer than I expected. Turned on the shower and waited until water came out. It did and I thought, ok this is great. Waited a few hours to heat up….went to turn on the shower and nothing out of hot, nothing out of cold. But it sounded like it was filling up again. I was confused for a moment then I noticed that water was leaking from the bottom. Inspected the bottom to try to figure out where it was leaking. There’s a cap that is at the very bottom and it seemed like it was leaking there. If you remove the collar from the drain plug (unscrew, then pry up washer part) you can then push the stand part up a little to where you can get to the end cap on the bottom. Then I carefully took a flat head to pry the cap off, going around and slowly. Surprisingly it didn’t take much effort. Once off I noticed how shoddy this was put together. It was obviously leaking from big gaps in seams around the bottom of the posts. Also, there was some kind of dried up hardened glue….not sure if this was a return that someone tried to fix or if it came like that from factory. To fix, I sanded around the bottom seam and clean and dried everything off. Then I used a generous amount of silicon caulking in the gaps and all around the base. I then slipped the cap back on. With the excess caulk around the cap, I ran my finger around making sure to make a seal. I also caulked the little hole in the center of the cap. It still drying and I’ll test it tomorrow. I hope this fixes it and it holds up. I’ll update whether or not it was a success.*Update: Ok, it still leaks. I don’t think silicone caulking is the answer. I will have to painstakingly remove it and try something else. Some kind of epoxy or sealant meant to hold pressure. JB weld makes a waterproof sealant. Or Flex seal paste. I’ll update this again later once I choose a product and hopefully fix thing dang thing.*Update 2: Finally got around to fixing this. Broke it back down…the silicone caulking was definitely not the answer. Fortunately it was easy to remove. Then I took my dremel with a nylon wire wheel and sanded out the seam. Also, sanded around the seam to scuff up the surface. Then I rinsed and wiped it down with isopropyl alcohol. After some researching I chose JB Waterweld to seal it up. It comes in sticky so I should have wore gloves (I didn’t). I worked my around the seam and jammed it into the gaps. I covered the seam with about half inch of the stuff. I used the remaining product around the drain plug because that was looking suspect too. Also around the hose connection. It cures in 60 minutes, so I let it be and watched some football. Came back and put it all back together and anchored it back down. Filled with water until it came out the shower head. Then I let it heat up for a couple of hours. Came back again and no signs of leaking around the base….YAY! Turned it on and water came right out. I mowed the lawn and did some yard work. Afterwards I went to shower….again, water right away and warm. So far so good. I’ll do one more update in a month or so and will let you know if it holds up.*Update 3: It has held up! My kids and I use it all the time. Nothing like taking a warm shower after yard work and then hopping in the hot tub.

Works fine, great control over hot/cold water. Water flow is strong. However you have figure out how to assemble the shower head on your own because instructions are terrible
