It solves the problem with the "Shiftlock solenoid selector lever wrongly not locked in P" code. Message on dash is "Transmission: Secure vehicle with parking brake when stopped."

I had a sensor pop on, told me to secure car from rolling. THIS SOLVED THE PROBLEM! I know it's silly such a tiny spring was needed but it worked! Im not a mechanic, it was super easy to replace by myself. Honestly, it did take me a couple hours to get done, since the whole inside of the car has to be taken apart. But overall im super pleased I did it myself. I have driven 500 miles now and haven't had any more issues. im very pleased with this part!!

Dealer wanted $2,000 to replace the whole shifter assembly - saw these, watched the video and $350 later DONE - perfect!! Of course my mechanic is a genius, but the dealer wouldn't even consider this fix.....grrrr. Whoever invented this fix - KUDOS dude/ma'am :-))
