I’m 60ish and take more seriously a fall from 20 or so feet from a tree stand. I wanted a sturdy and safe stand. The system was assembled in the field. The bolts were different sizes and somewhat difficult to differentiate from the instructions. I should have had a measuring tape. The exact Bolts MUST go in the exact locations to assemble correctly (lesson learned). I could assemble alone, hoisting this tall and heavy stand took three 60ish people to accomplish. Once vertical and locked on to the tree and all attachments secure this is a very sturdy stand. I felt confident as I made my way up the ladder and onto the stand. The seating is very comfortable and the stand area is spacious. I felt extremely confident and secure while in the stand. No wobbling, no shooting restrictions and no noise as I moved around the stand. I think older hunters would feel safe in this stand certainly has enough room for my grandson to sit next to me during the hunting season. This hefty stand deserves an A+ on my risk assessment. Two safety harnesses and tree safety straps that came with the product were ok but I upgraded to better harnesses with egress safety ropes.

Great directions for the most part, Assembly was pretty much trouble free. Mine didn't come with advertised accessory hooks or cups holders, but that was remedied by seller, so happy now.For putting it up on the tree....3 men minimum, unless special equipment is used. We tried 2 adults and a 12 year old and couldn't do it. Used ATV winch and truck and it went up well. You will have to reposition the stand once upright because the bottom of the ladder must be moved away from the tree a bit.Ratchet straps that come with it are bare minimum. A perfectionist will want to replace them after the first season with something better. Location of the upper most strap is not clear in the instructions, but I guessed correctly. Mfr had a picture on the website that shows location for that.Shooting rail is adjustable and should be useful, just do not lift or pull by that or it might get messed up. Seats are pretty comfortable, unless you want to sit in the center. There are two separate seats, so middle sitting is a no go comfort wise.It feels very stable, with a slight but of movement, but nothing to worry even the most timid user.I have nit hunted from it yet, bht I expect I will shoot many deer from this stand.

First, I did not get any coupons or gift cards to write this review. I am writing this review because I assembled this stand and have sat in it four times now. So, the assembly was time consuming and requires two people. The instructions could be a little clearer, maybe a larger pamphlet so the text is bigger and more room for the diagram, but overall it was fine. Even when I scratched my head and thought "it can't go together like this in this sequence", sure enough it worked. Once the stand was up it is secured tightly with three different points. I really like this. The straps that come around from the top and loop the tree to be secured at the lower part of the ladder creates excellent torque that prevent the stand from moving at all. At first it looked a little over-engineered but I realize the importance now. My hunting partner is 190 but I come in at 245, and that's not accounting for our gear. This thing does not BUDGE when we each climb into it, nor when we sit down or shift. The foam could be thicker, but this can be replaced. The arm rails are wide and long, and I like this compared to other stands I have owned. The seats are comfortable, but I waterproofed everything prior to assembly and I feel confident I'll get many years out of this stand. The Camo pattern is my only true dislike. It is ridiculous looking in my opinion, but again can be easily replaces with something more to my liking. Also, there are no additional nuts or bolts. You get exactly what is required for assembly. If you lose something in the leaves, you're headed to the hardware store. Didn't happen to me, just warning you. Lastly, I scoured all stores and the internet. Noone could come close to this price. Highly recommend.

My review basically mirrors what most everyone else has already said: This is a fantastic and well built stand. The only complaint I have is how it's packaged. It's not ideal for shipping and should probably be shipped in two different boxes that are made of thicker cardboard. Because it's so heavy duty, the packaging needs really to be addressed. When I received it the box it was beat up really bad due to it's size and weight. Parts were sticking out of holes in it and I was concerned that parts were missing- and there was one missing(a seat bracket that should have been in bag or box not just laying in the box). Not a huge deal as I was able to fabricated another and I will contact X-stand to try to get another to replace later. As far as design goes: This is second to none. This stand has four rachet straps to secure it and this thing isn't going anywhere. The tree will fall before this does.Assembly will takes some time. Not counting the fabricated piece, it probably took me a little over and hour to assemble by myself. There are quite a few washers and bolts that need to be sorted. The pictures didn't exactly match all the bolts but it was ok. Some of this picture are really fine detailed so take some time and lay it all out. Finally, invite some friends to help stand it up. My father and I were able to do it...but just barely. Like the instructions say you really need at least 3 people, but it can be done with 2 if you're strong/brave enough.
