Install isn’t too bad. Watch some YouTube and just take your time… good quality for the money and makes everything organized

Overall, I liked this product. The installation was extremely easy and did not require any modifications to the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. The trick for the switch mount is to use a allen wrench with a round tip to start it so you don't tear up the weather stripping. Wish the accessory power wire was a little longer, but that is just preference for how I ran it to the fuse block. The instructions are almost worthless, especially for the fuse box. I was able to figure it out fairly quickly, but for someone who doesn't have a back ground in 12V electronics, it can be a little intimidating. There are plenty of YouTube videos to help.Be careful removing the switch covers. We were changing them around to match up how we wanted the lights to be laid out, and 2 of the 6 broke the tabs off that locks the covers in place. Luckily I had a whole kit of those switches left over from a different project, so swapping the broken ones out for new ones wasn't difficult. The original switches are actually very cheap plastic, so the tabs broke very easily. The wire harness at the mole connection side has a lot left to be desired. One of the wires that goes back to the relay "on" pin 86 completely came out of the Molex pin (not broken, but just pulled out). Unfortunately, I don't have any extra pins or a new Molex to replace it with, but this goes directly to poor quality control (looking at it, the crimp on the pin was weak at best, almost non-existent at best). There are others out there that probably are better quality, and I haven't given up on this one yet. The reason for 3 vs 2 or 1 stars is because this is still a good learning experience for my son so he can learn how to fix these types of issues. I am extremely disappointment in the Molex connection, but as I stated, haven't given up yet.

I bought this for my 2013 Wrangler and I did a DIY install. Overall, this switch pod works well and you get a variety of switch covers to pick from. There are a couple of quirks though:1) The instructions are a bit lacking. For example, the photos are tiny, there’s no template for marking/cutting the hole in your a-pillar trim, and the ground wire isn’t even mentioned at all. If you’re someone who has some experience under the hood, this shouldn’t be a major issue. If not, it’s probably going to drive you crazy.2) The junction box mounts differently than shown in the instructions. It mounts to the side of the fender with the two factory-installed 10mm bolts.3) The cover to the junction box is held in place by a single Phillips head screw. Problem is that they put the screw on the inboard side of the box, so it’s not as convenient to access.4) The switch pod is connected to a switch fuse so you can’t use the accessories unless the ignition is in the ON position. This may be an issue for some folks and can be worked around if needed, but there is no alternative option noted in the instructions.5) The switches are not very bright in the daytime, which isn’t a major issue for me, but something to consider if that may be an issue for your needs.6) The junction box is NOT waterproof at all. I also don’t see any practical way to make it waterproof short of sealing it all up with silicone and not opening it back up regularly. Keep this in mind if you expect to do deep water crossings.Overall, I don’t have any regrets about this purchase. I needed a basic switch system for my Jeep and this fits the bill. I do think the instructions need a re-write and/or they should do an instructional video for folks who are less experienced doing projects like this.As for tools, I used a 10mm socket, a ratchet with extension, some wire strippers/crimpers, a Phillips screwdriver, a plastic trim tool, cordless drill, a 1 1/8” hole saw, a 1/4” drill bit, and a utility knife. Again, this is definitely a DIY-friendly project, but it’s definitely not a simple plug-n-play install.

Put this xprite in my 2015 Jeep JKU. Instructions were a little vague, but this was pretty much plug'n play! I had to do no fabricating at all. It fit as described. All wires are hidden and sleek looking. A definite must if you are planning on using extra lights, winch, etc. I am very pleased!

Updated review - Customer service reached out to me directly via phone and was very helpful. I provided problems to which they listened and said they are putting towards improvements on this item. They offered to replace the item for me at no charge, and went above and beyond to help me out. Because of this I'll be ordering more from them, as I know they'll back their product. Despite the issues that I had they were totally understanding and I truely believe they care about their products and their customers.First the pros. Great wiring quality And easy to install the relay box and most of the wiring. Sturdy relay box and attached mount that fits perfectly in under the hood of my 2017 Jeep Wrangler.Cons. The instructions are terrible. Thankfully they aren't needed for most of the time, but the fuse tapper information is incorrect, and the instructions to attach the switch panel may as well not exist. Which bringse to the next con. The switch panel does not fit a Jeep Wrangler JK. Not without modification. I was able to cut and bend and cut some more to get it to work, but I was determined to get it to work after running all the wiring.Would I buy this again? No. While everything under the hood was easy, the switch panel took extreme patience, cursing, cutting and modification in order to get it to fit remotely decently.Additionally, I wish it was available in multiple colors, as I'd like Red lights instead of blue. (Cosmetic and doesn't affect the rating)
