Inner dome height is higher than outer dome, leaving a gap between the ceiling and inner dome rim, making it impossible to screw it to ceiling.The included self leveling sealant never cured after 2 months. Still tackt and soft ti the touch. DO NOT use it. You'd better off using other reputable brand.

Super easy install crystal clear 👌

In my picture you can see that I had a non transparent skylight. I took this picture to show I had many cracks in my skylight that I did not know about until took the sealer off the screws. I decided that it was asap get a new replacement when we had a windy storm come through and water came dripping in. I realized that it was worse than I thought, cracks all over that had been causing a small amount of leaking into my roof. I asked my wife what color or type did she want as the old one had two, inside and inside tan covers that impedes light. She asked for more light so we decided we would deal with extra heat from the sun as it was dark in the bathroom and we wanted to see the outside world and I thought we where taking a risk on a skylight that is smoke - tinted as there was a lot of heat coming in from the old skylight in the summer. WOW look at the pictures just from the inside as the sun is bright and this setup has an inside cover that was well worth the change it is clear no tint. Once both are installed together in hot Florida in the summer the space in between that you do not see does block more heat than my old skylight. I can see the rain when I look up when I shower when it rains, as well as the stars at night. Yeah this is new and cool to me. The sun lights up the tub and bathroom with NO extra heat in fact its cooler than it was on days where there is heat advisory's in Florida. My thoughts are why have a sky light that actually blocks the sky. I had to do a lot of work as my old skylight had to by taken out slowly as the OEM install put a lot of putty down so it was tedious but it has to be done and I am OK with Diy project as this was not hard just on a hot day do it early. I used the tube of sealing material that came with the cover and used the new screws. I did find that the skylight covered the old hole with a little bit wider area but it covers well and I like that it was obvious that it sealed as I put the screws in. I let it day and did end up finding as I took the old one off that my edpm was torn some so I did go back and re-coat over again what was sealed with roof sealer so keep in mind you don't know what you will find once you pull off a 10 year old skylight. This combo is worth the price as the combo turned out cheaper in price than buying 2 separate parts. The fact that its smoke but looks clear is perfect as the UV is blocked. It comes with screws for inside, outside skylight and the sealer for you caulk gun. I used the whole tube but waited for the first coat to dry which is the under side, then did the edges. The material that the smoke skylight is made of is flexible as I accidentally tested it when putting in one of the screws, it pulled up and I thought I was going to crack it as it was flexed and no problem. I recommend this combo to anyone who wants a nice view of the outside world, I feel that I should of done this several years ago as I had cracks in mine as it was leaking even though on the roof not seen in my pictures it looked well covered. I keep thinking I left the light on when I look up in my hallway by the bathroom. I am happy I found this skylight.

Replaced original 2005 skylight and framing with this product. Received the tinted clear skylight just as described. No leaking issues since installation 2 months ago. May have done overkill for sealing. Once rotted framing was replaced ran a strip of 4" Flex seal waterproofing tape to overlap new wood frame, used butyl tape to cover existing holes in fiberglass roof from old skylight. Rather than use the plastic washers that came with the kit, opted to use neoprene washers with the new screws provided before finally adding the self leveling lap sealant that came with the kit. I have noticed a temperature difference since the new install. Enjoy the clarity of the skylight, while still having the tint for privacy and to help stave off the sun's rays.

I don’t know if we bought the wrong one or what. The inside was too tall and would hit the outside piece. We were able to make it work.

I love that it lets you see the sky! It’s very clear.

*Update - After posting my review the seller reached out to me immediately to try and resolve issue. After a few emails issue resolved and received a refund for the outer dome. I was not expecting that nor did I ask for it. Excellent customer service - this is why I changed my star rating. The product is nice but for some reason could not fit the outer dome over the inner dome which was my issue. It was deep enough in the center but sloped down to where it would only sit about an inch down over the inner dome. Good product just not a fit for our RV. *Original Review - Received quickly and in good condition. The inner dome fit nicely however the outer dome was too shallow so we had to buy a separate deeper one. The lap sealant tube was dried out so needed to purchase another one as well. It does look nice but be sure to check your depth before you buy.
