It's only been since December and the product isn't working already. It won't turn on.

I bought a refurbished Xbox One X/S , but it’s only an Xbox One... And now that I’ve had it long enough for the warranty to expire, it’s not been working properly. There’s been NO neglect on my part, as I thought it was just the Xbox taking its time to warm up. But when I took it to professional repair services, they said that the hardware is malfunctioning and will continue to do so. It’s something to do within the Xbox itself.I got scammed!!! $200 worth!!!Now, it’s just sitting in my closet. Can’t sell it, because that wouldn’t be ethical of me!!!!Watch what the descriptions say about the products before you buy them and for the love of everything Holy, buy the stupid extended warranty, like I didn’t!!!!!I am disabled and that $200 was important for the specific need of a guaranteed product. It’ll ONLY be brand-new from now on…..Lesson learned….

I was a bit conflicted on whether or not I should upgrade to the S version from my original Xbox One, but WOW am I glad I did.First of all, I traded in my Xbox One to Amazon along with a few older games so this ended up costing only about $100, highly recommend doing that, the upgrade is so worth it. Here are a few reasons why:The graphics and visuals are noticeably better, the colors are sharper and everything is way more clear. Watching Game of Thrones via this bad boy was spectacular. For me, spending the extra $100 was worth it just because of the better GOT viewing experience. One of my worries was that the hard drive is only 500GB, but buying and using an external hard drive will not only be cheaper than buying the 1 TB console, but playing games that are downloaded onto the external hard drive actually makes them load FASTER! This seems a bit contradictory but using an external hard drive actually does improve load times, I highly recommend getting this version and then buying an external hard drive. The smaller size honestly didn't even occur to me when I was considering upgrading, but now that I have its another reason I'm glad I did. My xbox now fits underneath my TV, or if I put it on the shelf with my other electronics it looks just so much cleaner. The shorter and smaller cable it also a huge plus, cuts down on all the countless wires going everywhere.Overall: HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND either upgrading from the original Xbox One or just buying this bad boy outright.

Works well, runs cool, love the internal power supply, is a small console, plays DVD/Blu-Ray/UHD discs to my 4k, plays my games, what's not to love. The only frustrating things was the included game in that it is only valid on the Xbox One and I do not get it on the Windows 10 PC store. Separate product over there. Yes, I can play the game on the PC streaming from the Xbox, but I prefer just to play in one or the other. I'm not a big fan of the new interface; as compared to the Xbox 360. There is no mode for insert a DVD/Blu-Ray and the unit just plays it like a DVD player. That was a nice feature to avoid frustration of significant other. Now you need to use the remote to select BluRay app. That's a step back. Also Also, cannot play videos from a network drive. I should not need a special streaming server to play back home movies and videos from a network drive. Yes I can use Plex, but what is the big restriction for just play a video file from network drive X. It's windows under the covers and it understands network drives/sources or at least it could. But know, you need more machines or a computer running 24/7 to play a video. Other than those issues, it's an excellent console and media app.

I was always an avid pc gamer but now that the xbox 1 S has dropped below 300$, I made the switch and so far, it has been great. The color of the console really stands our from the others and the performance is as expected. The memory of the console is plenty for me but I can see how it will fill up fast as you download digital copies. The controller is great and reacts well and feels great in the hands. The only problem I have with the package is the battery consumption of the controller. I highly recommend you purchase the rechargeable battery pack with this bundle to save the trips to the store for AA batteries.

the xbox is great but the game isn't pre-loaded, nor dose it come with a game disk (like the old xbox or even 360) to play BF1 you have to download it...all 65GB of it. Grab some pop corn, this may take a while.

Okay. Let's get the bad out of the way. The console is actually a light grey color. It looks dark in pics but in reality, it's much lighter. Still looks better in my entertainment center than the other options but still a little disappointing.Second, it only comes with a 500gb HDD (of which only about 375gb is allowed for personal use). It's not a dealbreaker since the Xbox One it replaced also had a 500gb HDD. In this day and age, that's totally unacceptable. Anyway, I just took the 2tb HDD off of that one and popped it onto the new one. Everything transferred over without a hitch.Game on.Now, for the Pros. This console runs everything a little better. My old games look sharper on my 4K HDR set. Menus, etc, run a tad smoother. A little faster. Games seem to download faster. The controller feels a bit better, and it was already great. There was a download code for Battlefield 1 which, if that's your cup of tea, a phenomenal game. Also, there is a free month of EA Access so you can download maybe 30 or so games and play until your heart is content. Now, if only the box it came in didn't look like somebody played soccer with it.
