There are different versions by X-Acto and competitors of blades that you can use. These are the sharpest ones. You will not be disappointed. After using the "normal" blades for years and being disappointed I finally ponied up for these and now I will never go back.

These blades do the job well, but I am not sure that these Z series blades are any better than standard X-Acto #11 blades.

Titanium coated blades are always worth it no matter what style knife you use. These xacto blades will last a long time if cutting basic materials like paper and cardboard. These are also the superior option for finishing up 3d prints. Recommend combining with an Excell brand handle with locking nut in the BACK of the knife handle.

Most people know how sharp X-Acto blades are, and that they are so sharp that great care must be used when employing them in crafting because they will slice through your skin and nick you very easily. Well, as difficult as it is to believe, these new gold formulations are even sharper and supposedly have a longer life cycle. I use mine now for trimming photo prints with a steel ruler for a straight edge, and even when cutting through thick, coated print papers these blades go through them like butter. Part of the trick, too, is to make sure you get a handle which you are comfortable with. The simple cylindrical models (the classic model) doesn't really cut it for me (no pun intended) because I can't comfortably get the p[ressure and direction right. But when paired with one of their thicker, rubber-coated handles with the finger-holding curves, they make a terrififc combination. Five Stars.,

Recently ordered replacement blades for my STRIX OTC knife. Great tool until it came apart and I lost key parts. The replacement blades, the Z11 series are very sharp, last a long time, but wish they came in a 100 pack like the standard #11 blades for the same price. The only difference in the two blades is the opening in the blade to secure it to the tool.Be sure to check on blade size, when replacing blades.

Very sharp! And stay sharp for quite a while! As an artist I can qualitatively state that these are truly excellent quality craft blades and well worth the extra money! I get a more precise cut and maintain that precision for much longer than the regular bulk #11 blades I used to buy.
