I had a hunch these washers would fit the large variety of general construction screws with flat heads that I have. Flat heads are great for general fastening work and fast to install, but unless the wood is soft such heads tend to not want to be driven flush. Thus in harder wood an extra step can be required, to rout a tapered countersink for the head to sit flush. If it doesn't sit flush it looks bad and can snag things. While I have special drill bits to pre-drill for the screw while simultaneously routing extra space for the flared shank near the head, it can be a hassle even to use these one-step countersinking bits. And the result is not necessarily ideal because sometimes I need the extra strength of a wider head that is provided by a washer. Not usually in wood do I need a washer for a screw head, but it happens.Enter this product which solves both problems. First, the washer extends the bearing surface of the screw head over a wider area, for a stronger joint. Second, these convex washers with the concave inside are perfect for containing the tapered part of the screw head, obviating the need for any countersink routing in the wood. This is a timesaving product, and the result can look great too. Having these unique washers on hand will mean I can use screws I already have on hand for special situations where those screws might normally not be a great choice. And boy do I have piles of brass and exterior alloy screws of various lengths with flat heads.I often check quantities for Vine reviews, and as I put these washers into piles of ten I got eleven piles. They sent 109 washers to be exact, so 9 extra. It's not often manufacturers are generous with the quantities.Being stainless steel these washers are well suited even for humid conditions like kitchens and bathrooms. As I look through them the quality control seems excellent as I can find no defects, no burrs, no sharp edges, etc. These are not heavy duty washers. They are fairly small and just light to medium duty. Still they are a great product that give me future options I never had before, and considering that stainless steel is not the cheapest material, at a current unit cost of 7 cents this product easily earns from me five stars.

Works great with standard and stainless drywall screws as well as # 8 flat of panhead screws. Super useful for trim work where a more finished appearance is desired.

I got these for attaching cloth to a sheet of plywood. The finish washers are stainless steel and fit a #8 flathead screw perfectly. The cupped undersurface helps grip the fabric tightly to resist pullout. Basic finishing washers, but nicely made. Highly recommended.

These may not seem like anything special, but they're really useful. Pretty much anyplace that you would use a screw (where these would fit) make the difference between a sloppy look, and a nice finished look. These are perfect for wherever you use a tapered head screw, most often in wood. Although they're ideal for those tapered head screws, I've also used them to give a finished look to equipment mounted in an electronics 19" rack.

I am glad I found these and like the fact that they are capable of keeping your screw heads from snagging on shoes, pants cuffs, skin or what have you. These little gems also give your project an even more finished look.

When I used to help my father-in-law in his shop, he would use these to make the screw stand out when he assembled the cabinets to one another. Over the years, it became his signature, so anytime I see them, it reminds me of him and his work. Now I have 100 of them to continue on with his legacy.Cheers.

These washers are not for every application where you need a washer, but for a bit more decorative purpose, they are great. I use them for fastening my mailbox to the wooden platform on my mailbox post. For any application where a nice looking washer would look better than a bare screw, these work great. You just have to be careful not to tighten the screw too tight or it will force its way right through a washer like this because they are not the same grade steel as regular washers.

These are stainless steel cup washers. Their size is roughly 1/2" across. They work well with flat head screws that are roughly the size of a common drywall screw. The photo shows a washer with an old style deck screw. These look nicer than screws alone or screws with flat washers. They also look nicer than the older aluminum cup washers that were once the standard for outdoor use.
