I was trying to figure out how to mount some fabric type wheels, and was exploring what my options were. I found this, and thought I'd give it a try. It worked perfectly for me. This has a spiral/screw threads on it to keep it on tight that run counter to its rotation. Do note that it's 1/4" shaft so it's not for rotary tools.

I put the shaft into my die grinder collet and it was tight. No chance this will slip. I measured the shaft with digital calipers and it came in at .251". So, a very precise quarter inch shaft. The threads are deep enough to grip rolls and pads. A very good value for a necessary tool for your grinder.
