Solid pine connected with machine screws and threaded inserts. Easy assembly. The machine screws are soft and the included Philips screwdriver is even softer. It lasted 6 screws before being completely stripped, so use your own screwdriver and be careful. I’m taking off a star for the soft screws and poor spelling of “zbera” which is painted on one of the decorative arrows. Also, the rope has to be pulled quite tight. I thought I had it good but when loading with animals it stretched out quite a bit and has to be tightened.

We added the Pete&Eile wooden storage basket to our child's playroom, and it’s been a fantastic solution for plush-clutter! The sturdy wooden frame and ropes securely hold dozens of stuffed animals while keeping them visible and accessible.Assembly was smooth and straightforward—the only tricky part was threading the ropes (which isn't stretchy, so mind your tension), but it wasn’t a deal-breaker. Once set up—and anchored to the wall with the included strap—it stays stable, even when kids toss toys in like a game.It looks great in its simple white finish and has actually turned cleanup into a fun activity. Playroom instantly looks tidier, and our kids enjoy “hooping” their plush to the basket. A stylish, practical organizer that really works!

It took me about two hours to assemble this storage zoo—most of the time was spent threading the rope (which I messed up at first and had to backtrack). The directions are clear and well-labeled, which I appreciated, and the included threading needle was a thoughtful touch that made that step a lot easier. Assembly was overall straightforward, though time-consuming.One thing to note: the elephant hooks do not use the M screws listed in the instructions. Instead, use the screws that come in the same little bag as the hooks and screw covers—this wasn’t clarified in the manual, and I only figured it out after trying the wrong screws and seeing the damage they caused. Thankfully I caught it quickly and corrected it. The screw covers are a nice finishing detail and give the whole thing a cleaner look. The quality is decent—it’s real wood, not particle board, which I like, but I was still expecting it to be a bit sturdier for the $90 price tag. But functionally, this holder is AMAZING. It fits all of our stuffed animals—which is saying a lot! We had one of those wall-mounted holders before, but it just couldn’t handle our collection, especially the large plushies. So that said, it fits all sizes—large, medium, and small! I used to store overflow in baskets or they’d end up all over the house and on beds. Now everything is in one place! To avoid small plushies falling out, I lined the sides and bottom with the big stuffed animals and placed smaller ones in the center—it works great. I noticed some people said it doesn’t work well for small stuffies, but honestly it’s all in how you organize it. Since setting this up, my kids have been using their stuffed animals way more because they can see and access everything easily. The cute extras like the “Zoo Crew” sign, arrows, and elephant hooks add charm, and it’s become a favorite feature in our playroom. It’s a big help and a great storage solution for families with lots of plush friends!

Super cute stuffed animal organizer that serves its function, or "stuffed animal jail" as I'm calling it, but I have a lot of issues with it.For one, the Pine wood material is very soft and low quality - there are splits in the wood and areas where it is cracked/weak points in the material. Once you put it together (oh my god, what a pain), it is insanely flimsy and will shift and lean 15 degrees in any direction no matter how tightly you turn the screws.Meanwhile, and you can see this in the product page photos too, but zebra is spelled wrong on the signage/decorative arrow! This should have been fixed way before the item went into production - they've spelled it "zbera" - major eye roll on that mistake. For the price, as much as I wish I could, I absolutely DO NOT recommend this toy organizer. It is low quality, poor build materials, and flimsy as heck. I'll use it until it falls apart into a million splinters, but that will probably happen far too quickly.

We're hoping to have kids in a couple years, so we kept the zoo and animal parts kept aside, but wanted to use this in the interim to store loose bedding in/for our guest room.Assembly was pretty easy and labeled well, although we still managed to scew in some parts incorrectly but easy enough to fix. The female portion of the screw is inside the wood, so that is nice, not having a bolt or something else to try to screw into. The screwdriver included was nicer than expected, one that's good enough to keep. Why 4 starts? I wish the ropes were more elastic than rope. They have some give, which is fine, but it would be much more useful if they had more give. Second, while the instructional stickers are helpful- there are A LOT of them. I was able to get them off with a scraper tool, but it was just a lot. As the mfg, there are tradeoffs with adhesives- and I get that you don't want these coming off so you can't have it too weak, but you also don't want it too strong so that it leaves gunk behind. These were prety just right- didn't come off during shipping, but no left over residue- there's just like 2 or 3 per piece so maybe 20 to scrape off. It's sturdy-ish... but not sturdy enough I'd want to try overloading it, or moving it around more than once or twice. If I dropped it from 4 feet, somethin would assuredly snap. Again- if you're using this as intended for stuffed animals in one spot- you should be fine. I'm just trying to give the best possible feedback to the mfg and other customers.Could also be nice to have some type of cord ending contraption vs. tying a knot. I'm just getting picky at this point.Great value , great price point. We may end up painting it to match.
