4.7 stars out of 5 stars (standard rounding rules apply)When looking for some wrist guards for my carpal tunnel I came across this set. I liked that there were two included, instead of just one. I ordered it and they arrived in a timely manner and were well packaged. When I opened the package I could see that they were manufactured pretty well, and had some stretch to them. The metal strap seemed to have some wiggle room which could possibly cause issues, but didn't feel like it moved too much.My significant other has large hands, while I have small ones, and he was also able to fit within these wrist guards. Showing that there is a good stretch, so if your hand is swollen or swells these will still work. They have been used now for a few weeks and the only thing that is showing wear and tare are the Velcro straps.Comparing these wrist guards to other similar products the price is actually pretty good and on the low end. Even with the price being lower than others the quality is still there. This price also includes a pair of wrist guards, while many others priced like this it is just one wrist guard. Overall, I would recommend this item - for either carpal tunnel or doing things like skate boarding.

These wrist guards from the Cienfy Store on Amazon are comfortable and well made with a couple of exceptions. First where my thumb goes through the hole, the fabric presses on the web between my thumb and forefinger. I have carpel tunnel syndrome and have used wrist guards since 2006. Some paid for by insurance and provided by the doctor's office, and others purchased at drug stores mostly. I can't find my last pair, maybe the dog hid them, so when these popped up on Amazon Vine right after I purchased a pair on Amazon, I ordered them, I'd rather have too many than too few. Most all of them have annoyed the web of my hand, so it's not really a big deal. I blame me for having unusually large hands, or maybe large webs. Maybe I'm part duck.Anyway, the other negative issue about these wrist guards forced me to deduct a star. The metal strap that they call a "wrist guard" keeps creeping out of its home. There is nothing to hold it in. Other guards I've had had a tab with Velcro to keep the metal in place. These have nothing, forcing me to sew them in with a couple of whip stitches. It's not a big deal, I know how to sew, but buyers of these wrist guards shouldn't have to fix them in order to wear them. If you can deal with that, I recommend them.

The good:Breathable material feels nice to wear, stays cool and feels good on the skin.Stitching and material is decent, will survive the elements and some scrapes.Straps are good quality and get it secure enough.Stacks with my plastic rollerblade wrist guards (which I thought they may replace but no) and my tactical gloves which is actually pretty neat and now I have triple hand protection on rides. The not-so-good:The metal bands inside are thin and way too flexy for protecting from any kind of high-speed impact and I don't think I'd trust them falling backwards going 2 mph to be honest (by themselves) but coupled with some plastic wrist guards or even slipping some more durable metal into the sleeve (you can) would improve them. The actual thumb holes don't line up that great relative to where my wrist comes out of it but the stretchy and comfy material makes this not that big a deal.As standalone rollerblade, skate, bike, or snowboard wrist guards I'd pass, but if you plan to stack these with the palm-style plastic guard wrist protectors and some tactical gloves you might like them as I did as they're fortifying a previous weak point.

While these guards seem to be made well as far as materials go (fabric, and closures), I have concerns about how well the thin, soft metal guard inside, will hold up to a violent backward fall. I’m quite confident that the structure and materials will protect my hands from road rash and embedding gravel in the palm. The guards are comfortable and easy to put on.

I don’t understand what’s the difference between this wrist guard and a wrist brace? I’ve used wrist braces for carpal tunnel for years. Similar to my wrist brace, the Cienfy wrist guard is extremely comfortable and supportive with a protective inner lining that feels wonderful against the skin. The wrist brace is breathable and the dimensions perfectly support wrists with the adjustable velcro straps. My wrists have always given me a problem depending on the season. Mostly during my workouts, but as well as performing simple daily activities and even in my sleep. I believe I have a habit of bending my wrists awkwardly during sleep which manifests pain during the day. This wrist guard (similar to my wrist brace) supports my wrist and gives me the comfort to perform my duties with minimal pain and much needed support.I feel the Cienfy company undermines the worth of their product by promoting it for sporting activity when it could be for so much more. Great price for TWO wrist guards. Absolutely recommended for daily and nightly wear.
