After one session the LED became very dim and no longer lights the whole hacky sack evenly. Seems really wasteful to toss it or return it just because the LED doesn’t work, but without the light this is basically useless. This bag isn’t that nice to hack with, so at this point it’s become a knick knack.

I purchased two of these. One as a gift for my brother and one for myself. We used to play a lot in high school with our friend. It looks great. Quality is good. Comfortable to hold. Value for the money. One of my favorite features is the led glow-in-the-dark!! You can’t go wrong for fun

It actually glows brighter then I thought it would. There's a hole about the size of a dime with a little threaded cap that's about half an inch screwed in that has a little fin on it. You just screw it in a little more to turn it on and unscrew for off. Pretty simple and looks durable. Not sure how long the battery is going to last, I really wish it was rechargeable and thought about giving it only four stars for that but I guess your rating this hack not the ideal version of what this hack can be if that makes sense. I might take some beads out and add some silver bb's for weight, that should make it stall a little better. I think with a little effort one could design a better light up hack that's heavier and more squishy but I'm still giving this five stars.

One of the best parts of playing with the GloStar footbag is the ambiance it creates, especially when set to the tunes of Pink Floyd. Picture this: it's a warm summer night, the sky is peppered with stars, and the psychedelic sounds of "Dark Side of the Moon" reverberate. Suddenly, the GloStar footbag is in play, painting the darkness with streaks of neon light, matching the rhythm of the music, and adding a whole new dimension to the game.

The ball looks so cool but the light inside is a long stick light bulb and fixture so one end is missing the hacky and the other is hard and flat with an indented panel basically missing the sack side. Goes everywhere but where you want it. Call it, kick and pick up the lighted ball game. Better for tossing games like yippi yappa or juggling.

I was so excited for it to get dark so my son and I could kick this new sack around. It lasted about a minute before it started blinking out and then finally just quit. I was so disappointed. But I was not going to be deterred! I deconstructed the product and found a fix and now it works perfectly. I'm going to order a few more for my old hackey sacking buddies but make sure to fix them first. Here's what you'll need: Aluminum foil, rubber cement, small screwdriver (like from a glasses repair kit). Here's what you do:1) Take out the LED assembly (you may be able to skip this step, but it will be easier to see what's going on if it's out of the sack). Be careful to not let the beads spill out. You will need to carefully remove...it's held in by rubber cement, use that small screwdriver to cut the rubber cement away as you carefully peel the unit out.2) Unscrew and remove the cap, but leave the batteries in there for now.3) You will see two metal leads on opposite sides of the battery housing, but only one of them is necessary or "live." Take a small piece of aluminum foil and isolate which lead is the "live" one by touching the top of the battery and each lead in isolation. Only one of them will complete the circuit and make the LED light up. Mark the "dead" lead with a sharpie.4) Once you figure out which lead is "live," remove the 3 batteries (remember which way they were sitting in the unit!).5) You will notice the plastic battery housing is a small sleeve that comes out of the larger plastic housing, take this smaller sleeve out carefully (it should be loose enough, which is the heart of the problem).6) Take another piece of foil and fold it into a one inch lead similar to the size of the existing leads.7) Lay this foil lead along the outside of the "live" lead as you place the battery housing back into the larger unit, with a small amount of foil overlapping the top edge. It's important that this foil lays along the "live" lead. This will be a little more snug than when it came out.8) Place the 3 batteries back in the unit, positive side down.9) Fold down the overlapping foil so that it will make contact with the battery and the LED should light up.10) Screw the cap back on and test that the unit stays lit even as it is banged on the table or thrown in the air, as it will need to take that level of abuse in the hackey sack.11) If it passes this test, place the LED unit back into the hackey sack, noting the way it came out and reversing that process and using the rubber cement to ensure it stays place. Let the rubber cement take hold for a good 4 hours or so.12) Enjoy your new awesome (and hopefully functional!) light-up hackey sack!
