I initially had trouble loading staples and getting this to work. In other words, the instructions aren't that great. Since I figured those two things out, this has worked great for me. It's lightweight, has never misfired or jammed, and I use it fairly often. About a year ago, a freak electrical storm wiped out every single one of my battery-powered tools at once (all different brands; none would take a recharge) and I had to replace them all, one by one, this was the only one that I replaced by repurchasing the exact same item. I've deleted one star because it no longer comes with staples; used to come with staples and brads.

I absolutely LOVED my WorkPro Staple Gun. I had to run chicken wire are my privacy fence to keep my cats inside my patio. The 6' fence was made of weathered pine but held the standard staples that I ordered separately from the WorkPro. The cordless WorkPro was perfect for hanging (2 rows of 3' wide chicken wire in a 19'x19' square area. I never had to worry about cords or wires and the WorkPro never faltered. I only had two small misfires that were straightened out right away by picking out the misfired staples. I am SO very happy with my WorkPro - my arthritic hands could fire the device no problem and it took such a light touch, I could work for hours at a time without hand problems! I can't speak more highly about an Amazon purchase than the WorkPro. Thanks for this great device! I feel like re-upholstering something! :)

I can't really say anything about the product durability right now because I haven't used it yet, but I wanted to say that I am REALLY impressed with their customer service. I received the stapler as a gift and forgot about it for well over a year. When I finally tried to use it, it failed to work but their customer service representative (Carl) replaced it immediately with no question even though it was well outside the return window. I would certainly not hesitate to buy other Workpro products.

This product started out great. I completely charged the unit and then successfully completed a very large project, stapling insulation and various other materials. But, once the unit had been stored for a while, it stopped working. When plugged into the charger, the light on the unit glows green, but as soon as you unplug it, the light goes out and it acts as if it is dead. I left it plugged in overnight. I noticed several other reviews where people had similar experiences. It worked really well while it worked, but not worth $50 bucks if its going to die the first time it runs out of juice. Move on and pick something else....I do not recommend and of course now, I am well past the return window. Disappointing.

I have only used the staple gun once and I used Arrow 5/16 (8mm) T-50 staples, which would not have stressed it very much. However, I literally could not have done the job with a manual staple gun. I used 30 to 40 staples to install a replacement screen over an attic vent. The vent was extremely hard to access, and I had to stretch my arms to the limit for much of the installation. I did not have the strength to press the trigger of a manual gun from such a position (I tried). With this staple gun you just concentrate on pushing the gun hard against the wood. The trigger is easy! If the gun broke tomorrow it still would be worth the cost because it saved me from paying someone to do the job. My only complaint is that you must be precise in pressing the staple gun against the wood or it will not fire. A few times, I thought it was out of staples, but it was just because an awkward position hindered me from pressing the gun hard enough or straight enough to fire the staple. In most cases, after a few more tries, I was successful. I found the staples to be both easy and difficult to load. You just drop them into the slot, but in order to close the slider, the staples must line up perfectly to allow the gismo to slide across the staples. Once you do it a few times and see how it it supposed to work it is easy.
