I have a wider 6in chisel for the SDS, but it was really too wide to be able to focus on some small subway wall tiles. This smaller 3in angled chisel really worked out great on a recent kitchen backsplash remodel.

The one-piece construction of this tool looks like a good design and better than some others I have seen. The metal is solid and appears to be able to hold up to whatever task it is given. It inserts into my SDS plus hammer drill and in the hammer only feature it can do some damage to tiles or many other things you find a use for. I am amazed at the ease this bit has in popping tiles and the slight angle on the blade makes it easier to hold the tool and go under the tiles. I am confident this will last and hold up to anything I task it with. The 3" size is easier to manage than the 6" one I have and has more uses where I may want more precision. I am amazed at how many things I can use a tool like this for and I love all my SDS tools I have collected.

As someone who does a lot of work on my own home, I’ve always enjoyed the demolition phase of a project. That’s why it still surprises me that I only got an SDS Plus rotary hammer a few years ago—considering how much easier it makes breaking up tough materials, I should have bought one sooner. Since getting it, I’ve used it on stucco walls, sidewalks, and even boulders in my backyard. It’s a game-changer compared to swinging a sledgehammer, pickaxe, and cold chisel. This chisel attachment is my newest point of pride. It is easily one of the biggest time-savers when it comes to breaking up a concrete slab, whether on a patio or a monolithic cement foundation. The 3-inch width allows it to cover more ground than the standard 1-inch chisel that came with my rotary hammer, but it still seems to transfer just as much power to the surface. The angled, cranked design helps with leverage, making it especially useful for tile and laminate floor removal.Another thing I appreciate is that it’s affordable enough that I don’t have to baby it. While I could take the time to keep sharpening the edge after heavy use, I don’t feel like I have to—I can just use it until it stops being effective and replace it when necessary. In the meantime, it maximizes efficiency and gets the job done faster than smaller chisel bits.It attaches as easily as any other SDS Plus bit and transfers the full force of the tool to the work surface without issue. Four stars—solid performance, great value, and a must-have for demolition work, though long-term durability remains to be seen.

I used this in my SDS Max hammerdrill with an adapter for using SDS plus bits. The bit itself worked flawlessly. The fact that it has an angled chisel head makes it much easier to use when getting low to the surface and gives me, using a larger tool than an SDS plus, enough clearance to get the job done. Well made and strong. Putting a smaller tool like this in an SDS Max drill looks like you'd beat it up pretty bad, but the chisel took a beating and came out no worse for wear.

I like that this 3-inch SDS Plus Chisel by Workpro is constructed of one solid piece of metal rather than other chisels I've owned that slides onto the shank. It worked like a champ in my hammer drill and had no problems removing stuck on grout from a flooring remodel. The slight angling of the chisel head provides some relief to your wrists so that you don't have to try to hold the hammer really flat to the ground.I didn't knock down a star for the construction of the chisel since it's a tool that is meant to be used hard, but if you like your tools to look flawless and smooth, you should be aware that the edges of this chisel looks rough and rudimentary as you can see in the photos. It looks like it was cut to shape rather than being cast. I'm not sure how much this will affect long term durability, but I will update my review if the chisel fails down the road.

This is an SDS chisel with a 3" end that has a slight angle so you can get it under the floor tile to 'pop' it up.I tested it with some brick and it worked great. The key to success is not only the chisel end but also the SDS chucked hammer unit you are using.MY SDS Drill motor has a hammer-only mode but it is a relatively small unit.It worked great for chipping and 'pop'ing tile and brick. It definitely would not do much more than scratch the surface on a concrete slab. That would require a full-size jackhammer. The right tool for the right job. This chisel is a perfect companion for my SDS hammer drill.
