***Changed the rating to 5 stars after I tried 3x buckles and landed on ones that worked. It fits the strap-generation Frenzy PERFECTLY*** (you cant get seats compatible with this mounting system from Ocean Kayak anymore)Since none of the pics show the rear of the seat here it is. It would be nice if they told you the main strap has the 1.5in buckles installed to connect to pre-2005 model Ocean Kayak seat mounting straps (aka strap mounting seat backs). The only problem is that the installed buckles dont match the factory ones and they cannot be removed because the ends of the strap are sewn at each end. I have ordered 5 different chinese 1.5in buckles off Amazon to try and randomly find one that fits. If theyre going to sew on buckles then they should include the mates to each one so you can attach them to the end of your kayaks mounting strap - or at least off the specific mating buckles for sale with the item. Finding something compatible is going to be a crap-shoot

I love the seat, but it has major flaws for using in surf.One - it has a plastic buckle.It didn't take long to snap.Two, the material can not take stress where the straps loop through, one spot has already failed and torn.If you're just using it for lazy purposes, you're fine.

This was exactly what we needed to add extra back support to the kayak seat on our inflatable paddle board. We attached this back support to the back of the kayak seat and the notches in this seat were large enough to fit the paddle board straps. If you are of a certain age and find that the kayak seat alone isn’t comfortable for your back this is a relatively inexpensive way to make the seat more comfortable. Went on a 4 hour paddle and my back was great the next day. The only downside is for our dog. He has to navigate through 8 straps now. 4 for the seat and 4 for the back rest.
