I bought these to make an ice barrier when doing low-immersion tie-dyeing, and they work perfectly for that application. I can form them to the exact shape of my fabric and overlap and hold with clothespins if needed. They practically rinse clean and although they have gotten a little stained with use, they don't transfer that pigment into subsequent projects.Individual pieces are just right for swatches, and of course you can connect as many as you need for larger projects.

I wanted to bake an avocado cake and this mold turned out to be perfect. Depending on how runny the batter is, a bit might spill out but it wasn't anywhere near enought to ruin the cake. The cake baked perfectly. Nothing stuck to the mold and the mold also couldn't be easier to clean. I'm excited to make many more cool cake shapes with this mold.

I don't know how these hold up for baking, but they are fantastic barriers for ice dying.

Got two packs of these silicone cake molds to use for tie dye ice dying. Learned about them from some dyers on YouTube. They work great. Go together like a jigsaw puzzle. If they come out too big I just overlap and secure with a clip or clothes pins. If done on a rack I use clothes pins on the outside to hold barrier close to item being dyed. If item is higher than the barrier I clip a second row to the first to make it higher. Easy clean up. Never used for cakes.

Easy to use, easy to clean. Perfect doe cold and hot process soap cakes. Instead of trying to get it out of a pan, just remove the sides. I would suggest freezer paper inside the bottom and around the sides. The paper on the bottom can be peeled off and thrown away and the paper around the sides keep the soap from pulling if it is still a little soft when uou unmold.

It’s a great idea but I can’t figure out how to keep the bottom from leaking out.
