Got these for a christmas gift, one year later she's still using them! She says she hasn't had to oil them up or anything either and they've held up great. She wanted them to replace some plastic ones and she's happy for them.

First, I want to address the "Karens" who complain about the mismatched colors and shapes and cracks after using the dishwasher with these utensils. These UNIQUELY HANDMADE utensils are just that--one of a kind. Wild Teak is no longer used due to deforestation, but sustainably-grown Teak trees are now in abundance (like these). So if you want look-alike, factory-made, cold, sterile-looking utensils, look elsewhere, because these come from TREES and are formed by Mother Nature. That's why I love them-- unique look, style, color--all the differences that make each piece a masterpiece in itself.Pros:Beautifully hand craftedNon-toxicNon-scratchHeat-resistantCons:None, unless you only wash your kitchen wares in the dishwasher.Like all real wood, do NOT clean in the dishwasher. I don't soak them for long periods of time in soapy water either. They simply don't need it and I think it's detrimental to the finish and the wood. I oil all my natural wood utensils occasionally with pure mineral oil. I must be doing something right 'coz I'm still loving the ones gifted to me over 30 years ago. I think they become more beautiful over time due to the unique aging of their naturalness.

Love these! I was looking for a ladle that would not scratch my porcelain pots. I prefer to use wooden tools with them so these are perfect for that. They are really attractive and also sturdy.

The utencils look great. The description indicates that they are made of teak, but in reality the wood appears to be of different kind. The color though, is like teak. Otherwise, the set is perfect, a variety of shapes and purpose. I have used them a few times and so far there is no discoloration and they work and feel good your hand.

I am very pleased with these wooden spoons. The quality is great, especially when considering the price point. Very well made and beautiful cooking spoons.This are very easy to clean and after using every day for a week, is not showing any signs of color fading or wearing. Definitely would recommend these and would purchase more if needed

I cook a lot with cast iron and carbon steel and had previously been using OXO plastic utensils, but I just don't feel great about using plastic utensils around hot cookware, so I got these as a starter set (as well as gifts on two separate occasions) and have been pleased with them. The price is pretty good and the wood actually has some nice figuring, but that said, I have realized that I only really use the spoons and the flat edged spatula. It doesn't hurt to have the extras, but the curved "scoop" spatula isn't quite as useful in the skillet. I wish this set had come with two or three flat spatula type utensils.

I usually wait a while before (or if) I write a review but I just opened these wooden things and I was instantly impressed and surprised by the heft and 'solid' feel. I've had bamboo spoons and stuff up till now but these are way more heavy and impressive than those were. In fact, the two remaining bamboo spoons have been banished to the drawer....which means I'll be throwing them away in a year. I think these are teak and the beauty of the spoons matches the excellent craftsmanship. Really do think they're worth the money. I thought I read some reviews stating that the handles may be a bit short on some, and I can sort of understand that comment if you're going to use them in a very deep pot, but since I do most of that stirring in small to medium sauce pans and frying pans, the length is fine. Also, the do get progressively longer handles up to the spatula sizes. Anyway, very nice set of utensils. I actually wrote this review in a half hour of opening the package....they were that impressive.
