This incredible 80wt silk like 2-ply cottonized polyester thread carries a textured matte finish that has been treated to behave more like cotton and eliminate stretch while also feeling soft in the hand. Delicate but incredibly strong, this lightweight thread ensures stitching becomes less bulky and designs softer while the fine weight also allows for more acute miters, rounder and smoother curves and makes for super low bulk stitches that virtually “Disappear”. Used for delicate machine embroidery, hand and machine appliqué, free motion quilting, stippling, english paper piecing or whenever you don’t want your stitching to show. I am not an expert on thread. In fact I am pretty new at the hand sewing thing. I wanted to try English Paper Piecing. This thread is great. It is smooth. Doesn't get tangled like my heavier weight thread. I like it so much I purchased a box with different colors.

I use this thread in my English paper piecing projects. the thread glides through my Material just like Silk. I use a number 11 millers Needle, and it is a breeze to thread it by hand. Easy to use and a pleasure to use.
