This horn is loud and crisp. From 10 psi to 120 psi, there is no mistaking this thing. The all familiar fire truck sound.

Feeding her with 1/2" DOT air line, push to connect air brake fittings, 1/2" remote mounted solenoid, 5 Gallon air tank, and engine driven York 210 compressor. This is WAY overkill for this horn. This horn is extremely air consumption efficient and loud, ear ringing loud if you are too close, feel it in your chest loud. I feel like it would run well off of almost any air setup. IMO the loudest best bang for your buck.

For the price I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it is, after unpacking I charged up my garage air tank up to 165 PSI and hooked up an air nozzle to the port on the horn to test it out and let me just say make sure you're wearing ear protection because it literally rattles your brain and blurs your vision. To the point I actually have to be careful of when I actually use this on the road as it could possibly cause an accident with how loud it is that it would scare the hell out of somebody. It says it's rated for 125 decibels I have no way to test it but it feels like it's so much more than that just make sure if you go to try it out make sure you're nowhere near the business end of this thing especially without your protection or you will mess yourself up and yes it does sound exactly like it actual fire truck horn

Update 04/14/20: It's been cranked up to 350psi (highest my CO2 regulator goes) for 3+ years now. I'd say average use has been about 3 seconds a week in traffic, and a 5-10 second showoff blast once a month. Still going strong. At 350psi, it's much louder than a train. I compared it at a railroad crossing once, and it echoed about 3x longer than the train's horn did.I've got my horn running off my CO2 setup, regulated at 150psi, and it sounds fantastic. Doesn't sound exactly like our horns at the FD, but that's from using CO2 instead of normal air, the higher pressure, and it being a different brand (we use Whelen). It's still obviously recognizable as an emergency-type horn, and still just as loud, probably louder, actually. People definitely notice it. Installation was ridiculously easy, mounted it under the front bumper of my Jeep XJ. I used a Kleinn 307 solenoid, perfectly matches the chrome of the horn, and it screwed straight into the front inlet of the horn for a seamless look and instant activation. Only issue I had was with the 6 inch jumper hose that came with the horn. The fittings blew while I was checking for leaks, and I only had it at 60psi. Should have had clamps on it, I don't know why it didn't. That's why I only gave it 4 stars. Luckily I had a couple clamps in my air hose repair box, and after that I had no issues. Honestly, the hardest part of the install was running 1/4" air brake line from the horn on the bumper, through the firewall, and then along the cab into the trunk, while keeping it hidden for a nice look. I ended up running it under the trim above the doors. After that, I just put a quick connect on it in the trunk so I can easily take it off my CO2 tank for air tools and refills. All in all, pretty easy. Now to see if it actually lasts.

OMG this thing is LOUD. Not as ominous as my train horn, ( meaning not as deep toned or big sounding ) but IT IS SUPER LOUD.Be aware this horn does NOT come with any type of valve or solenoid for use ( MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY ) just about any 1/4 inch npt or mip thread valve will work on it though, it does come with an adapter for the 1/8 bottom ( through the roof or hood air intake ) to adapt it for a 1/4 line in - or if you take the plug out under the tube there is a 1/4 inlet there where I have installed my 1/4 electric valve, just don't froget to install the included 1/8npt plug back into the hole on the bottom before mounting it or your horn won't sound. This is a GREAT horn for the price and does sound just like the fire truck or EMT horn used to "clear traffic" the only problem is trying to fit this 25 inch long x over 6 inch thing somewhere LOL can't wait to get it installed for the next red light texter.PIC's to followBTW talking to WOLO tech support the recommended WORKING PRESSURE FOR THIS HORN IS 80-110PSI -- NOT 150PSI

This isn't some sissy imitation, this is the real thing, a fire truck air horn easily installed on any vehicle with an on-board air system. It is fairly large (24" long and about 6" diameter at the bell) so I mounted it behind the Reunel bumper on my F250, driving it with a electrically-actuated solenoid (from JC Whitney, couldn't find it on Amazon) and 150psi air from a ViAir on-board air system, and even with the bumper acting as a bit of a baffle it is still horribly loud. The manufacturer doesn't appear to provide pressure recommendations but the horn seems to work just fine at 60 psi and 150 psi. Just be sure to mount the solenoid really close to the horn to get fastest action when you hit the Big Red Button! The solenoid I used has really fast action and is weather-sealed to be safely mounted anywhere, JC Whitey item ZX492214Y.I always wanted to put a real fire truck air horn on my truck, for just those special times when some idiot cuts me off on the freeway or times that need that little bit extra emphasis. This is exactly what I was looking for.
