I put a wall behind the back seats that fully blocked my view out of the back window. I needed an option that replaced my physical perspective so I started hunting for a digital option. I did a lot of research, watching YouTube videos, talking to people with extensive experience, I heard recommendations for this rear view camera a lot so I decided to pull the trigger. I did purchase the upgraded camera due to the glare mentioned in some reviews. I am very impressed with the quality during the day, rear and front. At night its not quite as good, however, compared to what you would normally see in the dark with a physical mirror, this is an upgrade.

Works as advertised, easy installation. i use wire wrap to protect the wireing that runs underneath my truck I could have used an extension but that would be more possible water intrusion in the rust belt of northern Iowa.

This is the 2nd camera cable extension that I’ve ordered. Like the 1st one, it does not work either. The original shorter cable that came with the camera works perfectly, but it’s too short. The camera system itself is great but if you need the extra cable length, I suggest you shop elsewhere.

Looks amazing in my 2002 Chevy tahoe. Modernizing older vehicles has never been so east. No where to mount this on my Tahoe so I had to create my own mounting bracket, and after a month it will auto turn off if I stop the recording so I have to leave it record no matter what. Looks super clear with the right light. When the sun is setting you cant see with it so turning it off and using as a mirror works fine. I purchased the extended wire because in my SUV the regular wire just isn't long enough.
