It fits over the endpin tip and locks down tight with three set screws. The special rubber composition of the ball provides a good grip on almost any surface. No more cumbersome endpin rests to lug around or lose.

Got this in, opened the package and it looks great. It looks like it will function really good as well. However, we had to return it because it would not fit the 1/2 inch end pin on the upright bass that we wanted to use it on. We considered a couple of options, but decided to return it. If these folks made a unit just like this that would fit a half inch size end pin, we will buy it!

Serves its purpose, but the cello does still slide (very slowly) if you’re on a smooth surface. Better than no stopper at all.

Took me almost 6 years to wear down my previous one, so this is a second replacement. It is sticky and will leave marks but it sure holds my double bass in place.

Solved an immediate problem... rubber end pin covers wearing out fast & marks left in hardwood flooring. But it tends to slip off. Pain and drama from the bass player then ensues. Plan to try some tape to make it grip to the end pin... maybe try a file to rough up a bit of the end pin, etc. Also got complaints about the bass sliding around a bit with smooth flooring. Likely best with carpet.

Works great. Although the price is more than the usual rubber tips, I am assuming this gadget will work longer, as the inside has metal to protect the point of the end pin from pressing through the rubber part. Also, the cello tilts nicely from the roundness of the ball and stays put, doesn't slide, on the hardwood floor. Set screws hold it firmly onto the end pin.

My son plays double bass and used a rock stop for the longest time. I saw this advertised and thought it would be a good alternative to hoping that he put his bass on the rock stop and didn't scuff the wooden floor. I read some reviews that said that they didn't last long and that the ball came off of the pin. He's had his endpin stop for a couple of years now. It's still in good shape and he has found it much easier than using the rock stop. I would recommend them. This size fit his double bass without any problem.

I don't know if this is maybe more for cellist but for a bassist this thing blows. The only time it stays put is when its on carpet, the screws fall out, it slides all over the place. My suggestion? Spend a lot of money on one that will really work or just buy the 1.99$ normal stopper that amazon has. This is not worth the money at all.

I am disappointed with this endpin stop. It doesn't stay on very long, no matter how much I tighten the screws. And the rubber tip slides on stage and classroom floors. I have an old version that clips onto the endpin. It was great for many years, had a certain sticky feel like the old super balls used to have which was great. Wolf, I say go back to the original product because it worked!
