A high-quality WIX fuel and water separator filter. Really high-quality construction if this is they style filter you need. I have also converted other fuel systems to this style and other see-through style filters so you can see if the filter is dirty. New systems can cost half the price of this filter.

Well, you can but it won't be the filters fault.I use it on my 7.3idi with no problems.

Used this to replace the 2 part oem fuel filter on my 1991 Ford F250 7.3 IDI. Was a direct replacement and fit perfectly and has the typical high quality you expect from wix. Highly recommend this for any IDI owners

The filter is just too expensive, but you need the drain valve on the bottom of the filter too, so that you can flush out all the crap if you're fuel filter is stopped up

I use this on my OBS 89 IDI truck. It replaces the OEM 2-piece mess, and works great. Now, I've replaced every o-ring and gasket in my fuel system, and have a completely dry engine (NO diesel anywhere), and I like a clean engine bay. This works great for those of you who like to keep your engine bay clean too. Without the bottom piece, it is far less mess when changing, and you can change it without spilling anything if you're careful.I've had some not-so-great fuel, and this filter handles it fine. I change these at the same interval as OEM, sometimes a bit longer. Never had a clog, leak, or any problem.
