I was looking for an adjustable stand that would hold books or my iPad at a better angle for my neck. This stand does that.It is quick to assemble. It comes with the wrench and allen wrench needed to adjust the various joints. It can actually be tightened and hold its position (other stands I've tried rely on friction, loosen over time, and are not balanced). This stand is also solid and balanced so I'm not worried about it tipping over. Two thin arms fold up from the lip of the stand to hold pages open if you are reading a book, or holding a cookbook open (for example). These page holders are thin enough to not be distracting, yet sturdy. They have some sort of plastic or silicone protection on their tips to protect your pages. You can adjust the height from the top of the base (which is about 3/4 of an inch thick) to about 15 inches, as well as tilt the lipped platform. (For my needs I have it almost vertical, but there is a nice range of motion for the lipped platform.)Some may find the necessity of using the tools to adjust the stand an inconvenience, but for me this is a plus—I can set it exactly the way I want it and then forget about it, instead of constantly repositioning it as a friction fit loosens. The bamboo base and stand with the black metal is also attractive in an "industrial" but sleek way.I'm very pleased. with this stand. I would recommend it.

I’ve been looking for a book stand that would be adjustable and sturdy enough to hold sheet music. There’s not many options out there, so naturally I was super hopeful when I discovered this stand. It works so well and checks all the boxes in terms of what I need as a pianist.I have a Yamaha digital piano at home, and the stand on it is just too low. This adjustable bookstand is such a game changer! No more neck pain, and I can put even the heaviest sheet music on it without worrying it won’t stand upright or topple over.My fellow pianists out there - don’t hesitate, buy this book stand. It’s worth every penny!

I am attending this training which requires hours of reading large manuals. These manuals are heavy and it was uncomfortable to hold them up to eye level and the alternative would require keeping my neck flexed down if kept on my laps. In either positions I was already starting to feel sore at the end of day.I already use a stand up deck for my computer, and so I just put the stand on it and I can now read confortably standing up. If I want to sit, it would be just as practical on a regular desk. It is adjustable in many ways, is sturdy and just a great purchase.

This cookbook rack is very different from the ones with a plastic shield that protects the book from splatters. It puts the book up in the air, above most splatters, so it doesn't need the plastic. That means you don't have to clean the plastic. Further, the plastic always broke in racks we have had. Since the book is held well up, it's easier to see the book; also, you can use the counter space under it.Finally, it's very attractive, made of laminated bamboo, nicely-finished, and on the thicker pieces that have several layers, the middle ones are bamboo, too. The grain is unusual and beautiful.

This works well for my alternating between standing and sitting. I read a lot and work on the computer. Very convenient to have this adjustable stand to more easily alternate the height of my reading material while I work and study. It's easy to work with a quite sturdy too.

My old office paper holder was useful, but I had to use big clips to keep the pages open and my biggest source books for my work (500pp plus sometimes, and large size) would easily fall over. I already use the floor model of this product very happily to hold my knitting books next to an armchair with adjustable height and angles and those handy lockable wheels, so when my husband wanted one too for reading without tiring his arms and eyes, I also got the desk model for my office. The ability to adjust various different angles and the height of the book, the solidity and solid wood and metal materials (no off-gassing, and great esthetic) have greatly enhanced my work life, and the page holding clips are an excellent convenience. With very long books, a clip might need to be further into the book than where you are reading while typing notes, but it still holds the book open to where you are.Love it! Also being able to adjust the height is great for adjusting to my eye focus, keeping my back straighter to avoid excess stiffness, and lets me store a magnifying glass for "three-point oblivion" type in footnote numbers, as well as other useful things. Thanks for offering these.

I love the look and its sturdiness. And the supplier is so considerate that they include some extra spare parts in a plastic bag in case later on some components become worn out.The major problem of this book stand is that the sill holding the book is way too narrow. This is supposed to be an extra-large sized book stand, yet the sill is only a bit over 1” deep. It is so narrow that I found it difficult to hold a hard-covered book which is 730 pages thick. And when you open your book, apparently you cannot use the page holder to stable it if one side of the book is thicker than the sill.Another problem which is quite minor is that the two page holders are too close to each other. They are around 9” apart. If your book or magazine is 5” wide or beyond (10” or more when opened), your sight will be blocked by the holders. Please refer to the photo. If you are reading pocket-sized books or thin magazines, this is a very good product (but then why do you need an extra-large book stand?). If you are mostly reading thicker books like me, you may need to figure out a way to replace the sill. It is not difficult. Once it is done you will be happy with the product.
