I ordered from bestsellers UK and the book came within 2 days. I was v impressed with their service. The book itself is ok, similar techniques to other books by Denise Peck and the jewellery isn't really my style but I will use it as inspiration. It also comes with a DVD which is a great addition

I am an intermediate wire jewelry maker. Even though I have lots of wire jewelry books I still like to get more books just for the inspiration and new techniques. I saw the good reviews, so I thought that this would be a great addition to my collection. Unfortunately it isn't. Some of the designs are what I would consider junk jewelry. Not necessarily awful, but just not worth the time. I did find a few elements that I had never seen before, but I didn't always like the way that they were presented. I am not not a jewelry snob. I love unusual styles and unexpected elements, but I still want them to look like you put a bit effort in them even if they are simple. In my opinion simple should be flawless and everything else should have some sort of your personal touch. I would give this 3 stars, but this is a good beginner book. The main techniques are all covered and the included CD gives this a unique bonus that most books don't have. I would say that it's pretty good. The good outweighs the bad. I used it more for inspiration rather than designs that I wanted to copy.

Another Denise Peck book, full of creativity and ideas for individuality. Great ideas to use as a jumping off point to make things your own. She has so much to offer.

Original review: This is not a bad book but the first one was much better, to me. Still, a decent purchase.UPDATE: Accidentally purchased book again in 2016. It still gets 5-stars for the projects but only 2-stars for instructions because none of the steps/techniques have illustrations or photos, only text, which is almost useless for us visually oriented people.

I run jewellery workshops so have many instruction books for myself and my students. This is not a starter book, rather a next stage and has some good wirework and coiling designs. One of my students has ordered one after seeing it.

This is a great inspiration book. It has wonderful instructions and is full of so many ideas that can be mixed and morphed into your own creations.

I found that this book in all truthfulness is under rated for it's worth. If you're new to jewelry making it more than a good book anything you don't remember just go over it again until it sinks in, I found it not hard to understand and it will give you a great beginning to jewelry making. A great buy for the price!

I own the first Wire Style book which I often go back to for ideas. I rated it 4 stars because of the ideas, but she lost a star because in both of theses books the directions are non-existent. If you are a visual learner, and need step by step instructions, then these books are not for you. The instructions are given in list form, such as "create a toggle bar," she gives directions on how to do this but if you have never seen a toggle bar before, the directions will not help you. There are instructions in the front, but they are generalized and most people have trouble flipping back and forth. My second gripe about this book is that many of the designs look like they are for eight year old girls. There are lots of bright colors and simple designs like the average 8-12 yr old girl would love. But even if you bought it for that audience, many of the designs are repitious and non-imaginative. Of the 45 projects in this book, 14 are girlish and the average adult would not be comfortable with. 8 are actually projects that I might consider making and wearing. The rest are what you see all too often in jewelry books. The designs look like art projects that belong in a museum, not anything you'd want to wear. The sample pages are the best designs in the book. If you like a lot of copper, antiqued silver and kiddie projects, then you'll like this book. If you are a beginner, a visual learner and a grown-up then there are many other books that a far superior to this one. I will be donating this one to my local library.

I just received my copy of Denise's book today. After quickly browsing through each page I can see that this will most certainly be a staple in my library as is her first, Wire Style - 50 unique jewelry designs. I am anxious to pour over each project more closely and try out some of my favorites as soon as possible.
