Our Drawing Inks have been used by illustrators since their introduction by Winsor & Newton in the 1890's, where the main requirement is brilliance of color. Today they are formulated from a series of soluble dyes in a superior shellac solution. These inks can be applied with brush, dip pen or airbrush and are widely used by designers, calligraphers and artists as well as illustrators. This is an introductory selection of 8 colors in 14ml bottles. Includes: Canary Yellow, Orange, Carmine, Violet, Blue, Emerald, Nut Brown, Black. Actual contents may vary.

Very nice assortment of ink pigments, perfect for creating illustrations. Worked well with watercolor and colored pencils too.

One of my teenaged grandsons is an artist who put these on his suggested gift list.I was pleased to purchase them for him because I know the quality of Winsor & Newton products from my own days painting in college.He was pleased beyond measure with these beautiful inks ~ saturated colors, ease of use.He uses the inks to color his black line drawings to great success.Highly recommend!

This are probably the best inks you can use for dip pens and brush work. Just use a nice watercolour paper.The selection of colours is great

I used these inks on Arches Watercolor paper and I can honestly say that I am quite pleased with how well it looks afterwards.

I got these a week or so ago. I have only been able to do a quick swatch test of them, using a dip pen. I like the colors.However, the package says that these inks are NOT for use with fountain pens Since I bought them because I am just getting into fountain pens, I'm rather unhappy to find this out from the packaging (where it would have been easy to miss, since it's buried in a paragraph in very small print). So be forewarned. I don't see anything about this in the product description, or the reviews I have read here.

Bei diesem Artikel wird mehrmals geschrieben, sowohl im Titel als auch in der Beschreibung, dass die Tusche wasserfest ist, aber mein Test zeigt was anderes. Ich habe die Farbe vor dem Test natürlich gut trocknen lassen.Erst habe ich jede Farbe einzeln mit einem nassen Pinsel angestrichen und dann einfach nach rechts weggewischt. Hier sieht man, wie sich das Grün in seine Bestandteile auflöst und fast gelb ist und wie stark sich die rote Farbe löst.

These inks are real nice and for an 8 pack they aren't badly priced. I'm very impressed with the emerald green and the blue. Though the scarlet looks more like pink and the vermillion is like a red tinged orange. Not what i was expecting, but still usable and colorful. Great for brush work or dip pens.

These inks are stunning! Not just the gold and silver but the black and white are also smooth, opaque, and flow smoothly. They don't bleed and they dry down quickly. The gold is more of a glitter consistency and is very rich; the silver is very smooth and fine, with no glitter to it but a satiny shine. Very impressed- I'll be recommending these to friends for sure, and trying the rest of Winsor and Newton's drawing inks.

Je recherchais un produit couvant et brillant pour mes colos et ce produit est vraiment top . Le noir est magnifique, le blanc est super couvrant et le bronze et l'argent aussi . En plus même sur du papier fin ca ne traverse pas . En plus avoir les 4 en même temps c'est encore mieux .👍

The metallics are particularly striking although the gold needs a few coats and regular mixing to work fully. The white is a bit insipid and also needs a few coats. Black and silver are excellent.
