Allows to keep wine for at least three weeks (refrigerated with not intermediate opening). Price worth it if you drink quality wine.

The Repour system keeps wine fresher than the manual vacuum pumps. The lower the fill level of the wine, the faster the oxygen absorber will deplete itself. It's not a miracle worker, but it does the job if you're looking to enjoy a good bottle over a few sessions. Ultimate efficacy depends on how many times you open the stopper and how much air is inside the bottle each time you put the stopper back in.

We switched from vacuum-type wine bottle sealers when a special bottle was ruined within a week. We have had great luck with Repour, as well as Encork. No pressure to finish a bottle or sacrifice taste; consistently works well. We are repeat customers.

I can't believe how well this works and that I don't see it being sold in more places (online and physical wine stores). For my husband and I, who enjoy a glass of nice wine now and again but don't want to feel obliged to finish the whole bottle before it goes bad, this is the perfect solution. Now we can keep a couple of different bottles going to match with food or mood as we see fit, and the Repour stoppers are extremely easy to use compared to some other types of wine saver solutions that we have looked into.I do think the price is reasonable given the quality of life value add of these little things (even more so if the wine is expensive), but the biggest drawback is that - as far as I know - they won't be accepted for recycling here in California, and that's really a shame. But all in all, given that we don't use a ton of them every week, we love them and are very happy that we found this product.

Since December, I had been happily using Repour stoppers to save opened bottles of fine wine for another day. It seemed like a great solution— though not eco-friendly and not inexpensive—for enjoying a pricey bottle without having to finish it in one evening. After many months of great results, I reopened a bottle sealed with a Repour stopper for more than the usual day or two—closer to a week later. To my shock, the wine was completely spoiled and turned into something horrid like I had never experienced. The wine wasn’t simply flat or spoiled in a way you might expect, like vinegar. The wine tasted chemically toxic in a very disturbing way. I wasn’t sure what happened until I turned to the negative reviews on Amazon, where they are many similar reports (see for yourself). Repour claims on the packaging to save wine for “days, weeks, months” and either that’s a gross exaggeration or the manufacturing process lacks quality control and a certain number of flawed stoppers reach consumers. The product may need to be withdrawn from sale and reengineered with a quality indicator, so you know the stopper is good. At the very least, the package advertising should be rewritten to indicate the product is good to use for no more than perhaps 2-3 days, after that you may not count on it. It should also carry a warning label. I threw away my remaining few stoppers.

It's hit or miss with certain bottles. From about 10-15 bottles so far, I've noticed a few things. If you decant and/or the wine is exposed to air for a prolonged period of time, the repour stopper is less likely to work. I've done this only to have oxidized wine at the next opening. If you pop and pour 1-2 glasses placing a repour stopper immediately, you can probably get a few weeks of preservation. Seems to work better on younger wines. I've tried it on aged wines and it hasn't functioned well (but the same goes for my Coravin). Overall, it's good for an every day table wine that you want to make last over 1-2 weeks. I would not use it on an expensive or special bottle and I would not use it on a decanted bottle that you pour back into the bottle.

This product lives up to its claims!I have had a bottle on the go for six plus weeks now and it’s still fresh no sign of oxidation. However a small note; put the stopper back into the bottle ASAP. Leaving it exposed to the open air will shorten the life of the stopper.

I love these, they're really handy and do what they say they do. It would be even better if they were reusable, but I'm hoping that might be an option in the future!

Really good and works. Possibly takes some nose away but the wine keeps really well and I’ve used it to keep wine a week so I can open couple of bottles, have a glass or two of each then next week go again. On half decent or wine costing a bit it’s well worth the £2 a stopper. They can only be used once but you can use a few times on same bottle limiting stopper back in but I’ve used them as a one shot to preserve.Brilliant and just what I needed.

I saw that these have been lab tested, but I decided to do a bit of a field experiment of my own. I figured I’d pour one glass, install a repour, pour 2 glasses the next week (to get more air into the bottle and really test this thing), then wait two weeks and pour a 3rd glass, and wait 1 more week and pour the last glass left in the bottle. A 28-day test.OK, I don’t have a Ph.D. in anything much less in Chemistry, but I was able to enlist a NASA scientist friend who has a Ph.D. in Planetary Science to vet my protocol, supervise the experiment, and of course… to help me taste the wine! lol. In the interest of truly furthering science, we selected a delicious 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to be our test subject. We chose a 4 week duration because the probability that any bottle of wine would make it that long in either of our households without being fully consumed approaches zero. Thus, if confirmed by tasting, the probability that a single repour would truly last an entire bottle with no degradation, in our households, approaches 1.ResultsFirst Pour: Delicious. After 1 Week - 2 glasses: DeliciousAfter 3 Weeks - 1 glass: DeliciousAfter 4 Weeks - last glass: DeliciousWe noted at each taste that the wine required a little time to open up, just as the first glass did. We thought the last glass may have taken a little less time to open up, but because when exactly it has “opened up” is subjective, and because an unprecedented 4 weeks had passed since the bottle was opened, we could not rule out expectation bias. Regardless, the wine did not deteriorate in flavor, color, or aroma - at all - from beginning to end. Conclusion:These things are bloody brilliant! Not only have I not wasted any wine since I got them, but they’ve made it possible to pair wines better. For example, on a lazy Saturday I could have a glass of Viognier with brunch, a glass or two of Rosé in the afternoon, a glass of Pinot Noir with a snack later, and then a glass or two of hearty red with dinner. I could never do that because it would be 4 leftover bottles I’d have to either drink up on Sunday - and I tend not to drink on work nights - or dump out. The best I ever got out of wine preserver sprays was two days, and still with some noticeable change in flavor. With these, keeping the opened bottles until next weekend and well beyond is possible! No more spraying wine preserver in the bottles and keeping them in the fridge only to have them croak after a couple of days. At only a buck each for 72, even saving half a bottle of $5 plonk saves $2.50 worth of wine so I'm $1.50 ahead. The savings go way up with more expensive wine.I may not know how to brew fame and bottle glory, but now I can put a stopper on death ;-)100% recommended. Go ahead and buy 72 of them for a buck each - they work!Hmmm… Now that I think of it, that should be his motto: Repour. Put a Stopper on Death. haha
