The end product is great. But you have to realize you’re receiving a small box of tinker toys that you get to use a hammer or a rubber mallet with to put it together. I found it kind of fun, but I could see people who don’t like to build things very annoyed. As I said, the end product is beautiful and sturdy and perfect for what I wanted. The good news is that you can reshape the wine rack anyway you want/need — just like tinker toys! Probably shouldn’t cost $100 for this. It’s more like a $40-$50 product since it comes in tinker toy size shapes. But I needed this particular size to fit a certain area and it works.

I bought two of the 20 bottle racks and stacked them rectangularly, 5 across. It holds 43 bottles if you use the top of the top row. Don't be intimidated by the assembly requirement - I thought was very easy to assemble with a rubber mallet. If you've ever used a hammer before you are qualified. But I do highly recommend using a rubber mallet. The end result was very sturdy and attractive, and I couldn't be happier with the value and function of this wine rack.

This wine rack reminds me of the old "Tinker Toys" that I used to play with when I was a kid. It offers great versatility, and you can build it out to fit pretty much any space. I actually purchased two of the kits and combined them to hold nearly 30 bottles in my wine storage area under a stairwell. I was able to build it out to fit the space perfectly. I would recommend this wine rack to anyone that is looking to build out a wine storage rack to that has any space, shape or size issues.

I was worried that this would be flimsy, but once the pins are hammered in, it is SOLID. Use a rubber mallet, and it will come together easily. I am really happy with this wine rack.

Reminded me of playing with tinker toys. A little tough to softly hammer everything together but I really like how I can manipulate it to fit the space I was looking to utilize for my liquor. Holds the bottles securely.

Pegs did not go in the holes without using a real hammer and did not align when trying to connect the next row. I gave up. Will make great kindling for next fire pit.

We are remodeling an old house, and we repurposed a 60 year old built-in buffet into a bar. We removed the lower cupboards and needed a big wine rack in a very specific size. I found this product and was able to combine one large and one small rack for a perfect fit for the space! Between the two racks, it came in 406 pieces (yikes!), but went together quite quickly with two of us, once we figured out the best method. (It's like old school tinker toys.) Rubber mallet is a must! It's surprisingly sturdy, and we stained it with no issues. Now we have a great wine rack that holds 75 bottles!

Once you spend an hour or more turning it into a wine rack it's ok. Modularity is the only reason to consider it I think.
